It could be argued that the extra money is worth it to not have to be seen smoothing on an embarassing 'oil-control' lotion - rather the sheek creemy sheers of Chanel's trademark packaging. I found this to be a beautifully presented product, and of course should we expect any less from Coco's finest? However, I refuse to use a product simply for it's branding - the argument against 'functional' clothes is understandable but for make-up and skincare? Hardly so. Increasingly today money does not always guarantee better quality of product, and it appears that in this case Chanel is resting on its laurels somewhat. Whilst the product did indeed reduce shine, and didn't provoke any of the sensitivity my skin is often prone to, it did no more than could have been provided by a less expensive version. It could be argued that the extra money is worth it to not have to be seen smoothing on an embarassing 'oil-control' lotion - rather the sheek creemy sheers of Chanel's trademark packaging. That is down to personal preference, and when considering the 'functional' aspects, this product does the job, but works no miracles so don't expect a wondercream. Chic? Indefinitely so. Cheap? How much is packaging worth?
