Chanel is one of my favourite make-up brands, purely on the basis that it offers some of the best foundations on the market. Although, the products are a little on the expensive side, the high prices are worth it when you feel so great wearing Chanel’s make-up. The Chanel Teint InnocenceFluid Makeup provides a gorgeous coverage with a luminous effect, which gives the skin a natural glow whilst it also evens out skin tone to cover all the flaws on your skin.
There are several shades available in the Chanel Teint Innocence Fluid Makeup, so you are bound to find a colour that matches your skin tone. I use “Shell” which is for people who have a few red patches. I went to my local make-up shop a few months ago and went to the Chanel counter, the reason I chose Chanel out of all the other counters is I’ve tried most of the other leading brands foundations and after a few applications the foundation doesn’t seem to look good on my skin and usually makes my combination look either too oily or too dry.
I’ve not had a lot of luck with foundation and I’m constantly changing my products. That’s why I was very grateful to speak to the Chanel lady two week ago because she gave
me the best advice I’ve had from any of the boots women I’ve seen.
First of all I explained my problem to the lady at the counter. I told her I have combination skin, some parts of my skin are dry and my t zone can get very oily.
Whenever I buy a foundation the first few days my skin looks great then after the few days are up my skin starts looking dull, oily sometimes dry and just in all not very good. The first thing she did was take my make-up off, she complimented my skin and was telling me how jealous she was to have such lovely skin, I was really surprised because I did know my skin wasn’t really bad but I didn’t think it was that great. She said though that after removing my make-up she instantly noticed dry patches on my skin that could easily come off if I exfoliated.
Now I’m blessed in a sense because I’ve never sticked to a skin regime but I’ve never managed to get a lot of spots, I usually just give my skin a quick wash in the morning and then apply moisturiser put my make-up on then go out then when I come home take it off with simple facial wipes.
So my skin regime as never being very good it’s always being a quick easy wash and moisturise. She told me I needed to start working on my skin in order for this foundation to look great on my skin and any other foundation.
You may wonder why I’m telling you this information but I really wanted to share this advice with people on this site because I feel a lot of people seem to throw their foundations away after so long just because it doesn’t seem to ‘work on their skin anymore’ when really it could do .. It could look wonderful in fact if they get a good skin regime in place. Now the steps to having good skin are as follows you all probably know the steps but have being lazy to do them every day I suggest you try as it could save you a hell of a lot of money on buying new foundations all the time simply because you don’t believe they work or make you r skin look great.
1. Use a good cleanser, I would really recommend using a cleansing milk, now I used to use just cleansing lotions but after the lady at Chanel used Chanel cleansing milk on my skin I really loved how soft my skin felt afterwards. I recommend the “Garnier clean and fresh cleansing milk” You can get this from boots for £3.12 it removes make-up great and cleans the skin thoroughly it smells wonderful and leaves skin feeling lovely and soft.
2. Tone- you need to tone to tighten up the pores on your skin I’m not going to recommend a toner because ill be perfectly honest I’m not happy with the toner I’m using at the moment and I’m currently trying to find a good one because the one I’m using seems to be drying my skin out and doesn’t seem to work very well.
3. Exfoliate- you need to exfoliate your face to get rid of dead skin cells, that was the main problem with my skin the Chanel lady said because I was basically moisturising dead skin pretty much, if you notice any flaky patches on your skin this is dead skin and you need to exfoliate these areas and then follow on to the fourth step which is moisturise. I asked the Chanel woman how often you need to exfoliate and she said once a week don’t whatever you do more than once or twice because you’ll them be removing skin that isn’t dead which can leave your skin looking very sore. Anyway after following these steps after a few weeks you should notice a dramatic change in your skin and foundation you have probably put in your drawer may look great on your skin. You see the Chanel woman said you can’t make a judgment on foundation and say ‘oh this foundation is rubbish it doesn’t do anything for my skin when your skin is in bad tact in the first place, you have to get your skin in good tact before you can make a judgment on a product’
So what do I think of this product? I really like the Chanel Teint Innocence Fluid Makeup SPF12 No. 30 Cendre Now that my skin is looking better than ever after sticking to the wonderful skin regime the Chanel lady recommended me I have noticed a drastic improvement in my skin and this product really does bring the best out of my skin.
I really recommend this product to people who like me have combination skin, it has moisturising properties but also it doesn’t make skin look oily. Also it is very natural looking, after using foundations that have a really good coverage I’ve realised my skin just looks caked and very unnatural, this foundation makes you look like you’re not wearing any foundation at all but hides any imperfections you wouldn’t want anyone to see.
-The Packaging-- well I think the packaging is very unique I’ve never seen a foundation in a cylinder bottle before. It’s a small cylinder which is handy because I can fit it in my handbag perfectly. It has a black lid with the Chanel logo on the top and then on the bottle it gives a brief summary of the product and its properties. The problem I have with the packaging is when you take the lid off you will be surprised to see that you have to get the foundation out of the bottle through a tiny hole which can be very time consuming. I recommend you shake the bottle well and hold it upside down for a few seconds before trying to get any foundation out as the foundation will go to the top if you do this and it will come out a lot quicker if you don’t do this you could be waiting ages for the foundation to come out of the bottle.
--Application-- The foundation is liquid based and is therefore very easy to apply. I have stopped recommending a way of applying foundation because we all like applying foundation different ways, I personally used to use a foundation brush but now I’ve started just using my finger tips and I apply it using circular motions with my fingers.
This product is very good, and I’m very grateful that I had the chat with the Chanel lady about what I need to do to improve my skin to make my make-up look better. This foundation looks great and stays on for hours; it looks very natural and has a SPF 12 which is a very good property to have in a foundation to protect the skin from the sun. It also leaves my skin feeling very soft and natural, it’s defiantly the best foundation I have used and I would defiantly recommend it.
