It's really hoobacious!

Advantages: Very fun to watch and has one of the best theme tunes around!
Disadvantages: On at 6am!!!

I love this show, the only problem is the time it is shown - about 6am! I'd not seen it in years and almost forgot it existed! My friends and I used to watch it most weekends, we would tune in at around 6am and crash out in front of The Hoobs after a hard nights clubbing! It could have been the alcohol affecting our brains but it seemed to be a very interesting programme and we were all hooked! Now I have my very own Tiddlypeep (child) so i've got ...
...have Sky+ so the ridiculous showing times aren't a problem anymore. I now realise that it wasn't the alcohol, it truly is an amazing show! The Hoobs are inhabitants of hoobland who are very curious about the Peeps (people) who live on the far away Peep Planet (earth), they have sent 4 Hoobs down to find out more about the mysterious Peeps and to answer such puzzling questions as 'why are frogs so good at jumping?' and 'how do we find lost things?'. ...

Review of The Hoobs

A nice little slot for kids

Advantages: Gentle show for kids. Lots of memories. Simple and bright set.
Disadvantages: None

I regularly watched The Magic Roundabout with my kids when they were little and didn't know anything about the drug-relationship that others have spoken of. I must have been quite naive. All I saw was a shaggy little sheepdog going around in circles ( I thought he was chasing his tail much the way that my own did) named Dougall, Ermintrude the cow, Zebedee - who bounced on a spring and had kind of a Fu Manchu looking moustache - plus two children ...
...colourful (yes, now the word "pschedelic" does come to mind) which was appealing for children, with quite a simple layout. I actually bought my son a Magic Roundabout train layout, which had a wind up train that went around an outside oval and there was the roundabout at one end and the character pieces could be positioned in the train or on the roundabout. I thought this was quite an innocent show at the time, something you could let your kids ...

Cookie Monster

Advantages: Blue, furry.
Disadvantages: poor fuel conservation

The cookie monster deserves recognition. He is, quite simply- genius. This one time, he didn't wanna eat letter J cookie, so he put it in a safe. he said ,and I quote- "me put cookie in safe. me genius!!!". Then he proceeded to eat the safe and the cookie. ...a guy behind us laughed and sounded just like the cookie monster when he's getting all horny over a cookie. Notice however, that he very rarely gets to swallow the cookie. Advantages: Raises awareness of disabilities
Disadvantages: Makes for some tough watching
