With Friends, you have a friend for life Advantages: Side splitting humour, great actors, amazing storylines Disadvantages: The fact it was cancelled. When I was young, I stayed at a sleepover at my cousins and I had been wanting to watch a cartoon being only 8 years old. Of course I was told I wasn't allowed as they were watching Friends, I was quite puzzled as I had never heard of this show before. Sitting down I recall perfectly what the first ever episode I watched was- the one with all the football, at first I didn't understand the concept and the jokes but when it was finished I found myself ... ...a comedy based on the lives of 6 Americans living in New York, there didn't seem to be a real plot in the early days just the chronicles of their lives. The thing that attracts Friends to me is the fact we've had most of those moments, fall outs with friends, boyfriends cheating on us and laughing at utter nonsense until we cry. Hilarious Advantages: Origional and hilarious Disadvantages: can get a bit boring after a while presenter Dom Joly does this how really well. Each show has many different scenes, and Dom seams to do each job very well. The show is basically different clips of how the public react whe something outragously stupid happens in front of them. Funny examples include Dom Joly posing as a snow man and frightening the pants off people as they walk past. Or Dom taking advantage of elderly people, posing as a police man, accusing them of theft for example. ... ...it is filmed without harming anyone. For example the elderly people who are accused of theft aren't insulted by the accusation, there just shocked etc. So the show is funny, but without insulting the public too much. For me the only down side to the show is that you do start to see the sme jokes over and over again, which means the comedy does ware off slightly. This could be one of the reasons why a new series isn't being made, because its hard ... Sex in the City- Brilliant- the BEST thing EVER!!! Advantages: Men LOVE it- gives a great insight into the ideas of Women... Disadvantages: Ending of series 6 seemed a bit rushed and not as ingenuis as the other series Candace Bushnell’s novel ‘Sex And The City’ and the series have all been watched (and read) by myself, friends and boyfriends. More addictive than Big Brother, Sex and the City examines relationships, Women's roles in life as a mother, daughter, child, wife and as a professional. It tells the truth about 20th Century dating in Manhattan and, to a lesser extent, around the world. The TV show focuses on the friendship of four women, more importantly ... ...single world of Manhattan- gay life included- from the perspective of a struggling journalist (don't let the Malano Blahniks fool you!!). The women are shown in depth from Carrie (SJP- Sarah Jessica Parker) in a far more emotionally detailed manner than that in the book which looks at the roles of ALL her friends. Bo Selecta Advantages: Breat comedy Disadvantages: no extras Booyakasha, I is ere to tell u bout da dvd called ali g innit. Enough of that, I'll leave the comedy to the master himself. Aptly subtitled da old skool intraviews, this is most of the the first interviews from the 11 o'clock show, and all the best bits are here and including a tour of the berkshire massive hangouts, some of my personal favourites include the tour of the countryside where ali gets to look at farmyard animals close up, and asks the ... ...floor and what do you use chickens for. Classic comedy. One of the best bits which is guaranteed to have you in stitches is ali's visit to wales, where he gets to visit a coal mine, and tries to learn the welsh language, it just haas to be seen, to be believed. Another of the best bits, is where Ali takes on the problems of the environmental protestors, and is well up for mashing up some police. Do you need a radio shrink Advantages: Always makes me laugh Disadvantages: That it ended This is one of my fave comedies and I watch the episodes again and again, as they are shown on the Comedy Central channel, and they never fail to make me laugh. Whenever I'm feeling down in the dumps I make sure that I always watch an episode. Frasier Crane the character first came to our screens in the US bar room comedy Cheers. Frasier starts with Frasier returning to Seattle to host a radio phone in psychiatry show. What he hoped would be a return ... ...Martin having to move in with him. This is due to him having been shot whilst as a police officer. Within time Martin's psychical therapist also moves in. This causes many problems. Not just people being in the house but because of how different they are. Frasier and Martin are complete opposites. Fraiser is a well read, educated man who enjoys opera, wine, gourmet foods, spa days and speaks French.
