Big Brother
Advantages: Nightly Entertainment, Can Be Good At Times Disadvantages: Ran Out of Ideas, Repetitive
...one series to go (on Channel 4 anyway) you would expect the last series to be the best. However, the producers seem to have completely ran out of ideas for the show and obvious things which could make it more entertaining are never used. Time for the production team to listen to Frankie Boyle's ideas (Mock the Week fans will know what I mean). It's probably for the best that it is coming to an end. Although, if a new channel was to take up the rights ...

...to write a review on Deal or No Deal, that truly (ummmmmmm) so-called wonderful game that is currently being shown somewhere on Channel Four. OK OK I have checked, it is shown weekdays between the 4 and 5 pm time slot (usually for anything between 45 – 60 minutes in total) and generally on Saturdays as well but of course these times can change dependent on what else Channel Four is showing. There are as always endless repeats on cable/ sky, so watch ... ...are asked that question of Deal or No Deal? Of course, it is up to the person playing to decide – more often than not, they will have somebody they know sitting in the studio audience, whom they will call upon to assist them. If they decide to take the banker's offer, then in effect the game is over although they have to fill the time up by them continuing to open boxes as if they were still in play. But should they choose to carry on, then they ...

...is shown on weekdays on Channel 4. Countdown is predominantly a letters game and there are two contestants per show. One contestant will choose 9 letters made up of a mixture of consonants and vowels and then both contestants will have 30 seconds to make the biggest word possible (it must be in the Oxford English Dictionary) and then players will be awarded points accordingly. The other part of the show is the numbers part where players will choose ... ...and large numbers are 10,25,50,75,100. Then the button will be pressed and a random 3 digit long number will be generated and the two contestants will have to use the large and small combination of numbers to make a sum which is equal to the 3 digital long number. They will then be scored accordingly. There is Dictionary corner which is where players words will be verified and any other longer or same length words will be shown and some of the definitions ...

Oh Brother
Advantages: ... Disadvantages: ...
~Introduction~
Big Brother is, and, since it started in those hazy days of 2000, has always been the highlight of my television calendar. I would be the first to admit that I am a sucker for a good reality TV programme, and Big Brother is the daddy of them all.
It all began in Holland, when a little known TV show called 'Big Brother' hit the air. It soon became the countries most watched programme and the company that owns the rights to it, Endemol, ... ...4 didn't expect much of Big Brother 1, and neither did the British public. I can remember reading a little article in a National Newspaper that told of channel 4 starting this show, presented by Davina McCall. The brought the dates forward from what it said on the paper, which ended up in me missing the whole 1st week of Big Brother.
~Cheap C4~
In retrospect, and after watching clips of the first Big Brother on the television, it was all very cheap. ...

However, if you have more money than enough, try searching the internet sites for 'The Best of the Crystal Maze' video. Although I'd imagine that you'd only be able to get a second hand copy now, it provides you with 152 minutes of non-stop fun from 'Tricky Dickey', all for the low, low price of about £30.00 (yes, I am being deadly serious!)

Did you know that...
The maze was the size of two football pitches! It cost in the region of £25,000 to build.
The maze had to be moved from Shepperton Studios to an aircraft hanger in North Weald because it was too big to be kept there. Fifty new games were designed for every series.
One episode took 2 days to film.
