Masters and servants is made by the same team who brought us wife swap and it’s the same kind of voyeuristic, lets look inside people’s houses and warped personalities programme. That’s not a criticism I thought the first two episodes have been great nonsense viewing!
The basic concept of the programme is that you have two families and two weeks. In week one, one family will be the masters and one the servants. They will all live in the master’s ... ...that the masters say. In the first episode there were the Allen-Stevens an upper class, snobby family who lived in a huge mansion in the country somewhere and the Nutleys a more normal, likeable family. The Allen-Stevens were masters for the first week. The husband wasn’t there much, because he had a job in London that meant he had to leave at 5.30 in the morning.
