Sarah_Louise is back!! This time I'm back to stay! I've been absent from Ciao for over a year now (time flies!) but I blame the birth of my first baby last July having a lot to do with it! :o)

If you've never watched a whole programme of Trigger Happy TV then why on earth not?? Where have you been!? Mind you I can't comment as i've only recently discovered this programme! Its truly hilarious! Although I think its one of those "you either love it or you hate it" things. Either my friends love it or they hate it, non of them think it is simply "ok"!
A brief over-view of what its all about:
Basically its a load of blokes doing loads of stupid things! The main character, as such, is a guy by the name of Dom Joly. He is just great. He goes around doing really funny things... The best bits (in my opinion!) are: Dom Joly goes around places with the greatly exaggerated (very very big!) mobile phone....it is clearly not real (we're talking 2 foot sort of long here!) and he walks around parks, libraries, cinemas, shops etc and answers this "phone" but instead of just talking - to top it all off he shouts at the top of his voice...making everyone around jump and think he's totally lost it! (Their faces are a classic!) The best one ive seen so far is when he's in an art gallery type thing and he is looking at this phone (on the floor) as if its part of a display, it rings, he then answers with the traditional "HELLO" (very load voice) but you can imagine how quite art galleries are....hehe its simply hilarious! Another hilarious "phone" scene that i've seen was one where he's in a "relaxation zone" style thing in the Millennium Dome. Its all peaceful, people are lied down in this white room, then of course this phone rings! You can imagine the rest!
Other funny things include:
He walks around with a stuffed german shepard (best one ive seen is when he takes it into a vets and asks whats wrong with it!!!!!)
He stands underneath a sign with the words "DONT TRUST THIS MAN" on it - and asks people directions and things...its surprising really because im sure id notice if that was me!
Two Paverotti (spelling?!) look-a-likes go around in two suits that make them fat - they get stuck in lifts etc....very funny watching peoples reactions.
He sits on park benches and pretends to be from Switzerland, talks in a Swedish style accent and gets his english language a bit muddled up when he's talking to old people. (Ok, so that doesn't sound funny, but it's thier reaction that counts!)
Goes into a Uni and asks a young girl if she'd be interested in joining the MI5. (Like they'd ask as publically as that!!) Of course she falls for it hook-line-and-sinker!
....the list is endless really. Id definately recommend watching it. Although I believe Channel 4 has stopped showing it now. It is still shown on E4 occasionally though.

Advantages: Real people, funny situations, one man who you must never trust! Disadvantages: It's not on enough! More! More! But if you don't like it you probably never will!
