The worst channel ever

Advantages Sometimes a half decent film on and good range of programs
Disadvantages Everything else
I urge people not to watch anything on this channel it is the worst I have ever switched on.
I watch television regularly so i was as happy as anyone when I realized a new channel was hoping to be broadcast- Channel 5. Unfortunately we couldn't get it immediately (a problem some of my friends still have) but it did come on eventually. Iwas dismayed by what followed.First of all Channel 5 has the dreaded adverts. Except instead of the ones we usually see these are the cheap ones usually about insurance and usually with a very American feel to them. There are also way too many of them. But I suppose as no-one watches the programmes they have to get the moeny from somewhere.
Secondly, the screen was fuzzy and bearly watchable. This is obviously most annopying. I think I would prefer not to have it at all than attempt to watch a program with the picture jumping around. Thankfully this annoyance has now be fixed but it still isn't perfect and I have heard the same complaints from my friends.Thirdly, and most importantly, the content of the programs is dire. It does have a good range of programs I'll admit that but the quality is awful. There are alot of American programmes such as Sunset Beach. Are there any worse actors in the World out there? I seriously doubt it. They have awful porn which is not really porn apart from the odd one mildly rude scene. If you like porn I strongly suggest the internet or satellite-you would get more. It also has American sports such as Ice Hockey on late at night. There is a reason why we don't find it on the other terrestrial channels! And that is it is boring! Especially when Americans are playing it and we have no idea who the teams or players are! Even if you like the sport it is on for about 4hours. Let me give you an example of the poor quality of these programmes:
Recently I decided to watch my football team Liverpool play Auxerre in the UEFA cup 5th round (I think). I was slightly annoyed when it was on Channel 5 as the reception isn't that great where I live but I watched it anyway. I was appalled at how badly the programme was done. These are the reasons why:1)Screen fuzzy which is the norm for channel 5 and most annoying.
2)Terrible commentary. The so called "experts" did not know what they were talking about and the main commentator focused for half the match on anything apart from what was taking part in front of him.3)The camera angles-Now I am not against experimenting but for some reason, when the ball got anywhere near the goal they switched to a camera on top of the stand that kind of looked diagonally across the pitch. This made it impossible to enjoy the game yet was continued with throughout.
I know that they will not do the camera angles themselves but I do not find the poor camera angles when watching an away leg in the champions league on ITV or any other matches where english teams play away except on channel 5.The 2nd leg thank god was on BBC 1 and I was very impressed but I wont go into that.
If you arent interested in sport then I apologise.

Excellent opinion and i have to say that I totally agree with you on all points made. i know what you mean about the 'fuzzy' picture, i think its down to area as everyone who lives in my area (that I know) seem to have the same problem.
