Advantages It looks lovely and is well made
Disadvantages None
I paid only £1.99 for my Chapelwood Bird Seed Feeder which I have hanging from my bird feeding station in my back garden. I like to attract all sorts of wild birds into my garden and I have found that this is a good way of doing it without it costing me too much money. When I first bought my bird feeding station it came with its own seed feeder but this lasted only a very short while because it cracked in the heat of the sun and the seeds all fell out all over the garden into a little pile. The cats saw the birds and a lot of them lost their lives. That was sad and I was upset.
I replaced the bird feeder with the one I have hanging up now from Chapelwood. It is still made of plastic like the other one was and was quite cheap and I think I got it for a very good price, but this one seems to be much better made because the plastic is not cracking in the heat or the frost and the birds are able to eat in peace. I don’t think it would be strong enough to withstand squirrels though because it is not squirrel proof and if you do have squirrels in your garden then I think you might be better off buying one that is especially made to keep the squirrels out because they would be able to chew their way through this, I am sure.It is easy to get the seeds in and it is lovely to watch all the different species of birds come into my garden and feed to their heart’s content. I can see them all clearly from my kitchen window while I am pottering about.
It is a nice clear tube so I can see through it and it is colour co-ordinated with green on the top and green on the bottom and it looks very handsome, I find. This is a lovely little bird feeder and I ma very happy with it and I recommend it to you.

We had one exactly the same as this, but when we moved to a more rural place, within days squirrel methodically gnawed through the plastic base. I didn't realize they went for seeds! But now I know that at least our little visitor does. We have an all-steel one now.. We don't see the squirrel so much! :-)
