I got my dog 5 years ago as a puppy. She is a mongrel with a bit of black labrador in her but god knows what else!!!
I was feeding her dried dog food but this just wasnt practical as we found she was drinking alot more water than normal and this obviously led to a lot more toilet accidents when we were out.
As both me and my husband work (although he is a shift worker so us home part of the day) we decided to try canned dog food. We were buying tins of Ceaser at 86p a tin but it agreed with her and things were fine. That was until they stopped making that particular kind and size of tin. All i could purchase from the Ceaser range was little pallets of dog food which did not agree with her at all. We then tried Pedigree Chum, Butchers Tripe, and Pal all to no avail and she was still having the doggie trots which couldnt have been much doing her much good.
It was on a visit to the vets when she was getting her nails clipped that i mentioned to the vet the problem that we were having with finding a pet food that would agree with her digestive system. The vet advised Chappie.
I am not a snob but i always thought this was poor peoples dog food because of the price, but nevertheless, we tried it and havent looked back. She loves it and we have had no more upset doggy tummies!! The price at 32P for the normal sized tin from tesco is excellent (41p in Safeway i might add!!)
The only downside is the ghastly fishy smell.
I would recommend anyone whos dog has a bit of an upset tum to try this. For the price you cant afford not to.
