Chappie Complete Original.
I buy this food as it's relatively low in fat compared to other dried foods. It's also easily digestible (this was fed a lot in the kennels I worked out especially dogs that had funny tummy's). My dogs love it and I feed it dry although it can be fed moistened with warm water or gravy. I feed mine dry as its better for their teeth. I have Border Collies and feed mine 10 ozs a day split into 2 feeds which for ease equates to an empty small tin of tuna for each feed. I vary this amount according to how their weight is, often feeding a little more in summer and a little less in winter.

Packaging
This complete dry dog food comes in a 15kg mainly red plastic bag.

Availabity
Available at most pet stores / outlets e.g. Pets at Home. Not available at supermarkets.

Price.
£12.69 for 15k bag. Quite often they have a promotion giving an extra 2k free in bags making it even better value.

The Kibble Itself.
Each piece is about the size of 3 peas stuck together in an oval shape. Other varieties about the size of a large pea. Smell is quite pleasant.

Flavours And Varieties.
Comes in 3 healthy recipes. Original, with chicken and a variety developed for working dogs.

Ingredients.
Cereals (min 4% wholegrain), derivatives of vegetable origin, meat & animal derivatives (a minimum 4% poultry), oils & fats, minerals. Also contains antioxidants & preservatives.

Analysis
Protein 20.0, 0il 7.0, Ash 6.5, Fibre 4.0. Vitamins A, D, E. Copper 10 mg/kg.

Chappie is a balanced recipe which is much lower in fat than most other dog food. By using wholegrain cereals such as maize and wheat it ensures maximum nourishment, providing starch for energy and fibre for a healthy digestion.Chappie comes complete with essential vitamins and fatty acids giving a perfect balance for your pet's diet. This food is easily digestible because of a blend of low fat and dietary fibre providing your dog with a slow release of energy throughout the day.

Feeding Guidance.
This is also given on the bag with examples of weight, some typical breed of dogs and recommended grams per day. These are for guidance only as individual dogs need will vary according the specific breed level of activity and weather conditions.

Dogs starting this food like with any change of diet should be introduced gradually over a period of 5 days or so.

PROVIDE A FRESH BOWL OF WATER AT ALL TIMES.

Storage.
Store in a cool dry place and use within the given "best before" date to ensure vitamin content.

This food may not suit every dog as like us humans some dogs can have intolerance's to gluten etc. Also contains preservative which is best avoided by dogs suffering from epilepsy. If in any doubt always consult your vet. My own dogs are in fine fettle and this suits them really well.
