My 5 year old beardie has been on chappie tin/dry for about year and a half now. Prior to this I did try him on nearly every dog food on the market, mainly because he was such a fussy eater and food would remain untouched for day and night, despite inordinate amounts of exercise, hill walking, swimming, pack running.! Anyho, loose poo was a daily problem, when I mentioned eating prob on a visit to vet, they were not at all concerned and said he was a "hugh lump of muscle and hair" and is clearly getting enough even if its the amount recommended for a westie! I did a bit of research and chappie kept coming up as one recommended for dicky tummies so gave it a try. It did take a bit of getting used to for both dog and myself? Mainly smell! He still eats small amounts but has never had loose smelly poos since being on chappie. Also his skin condition has improved. He was frequently getting skin cysts. One actually abcessed a couple of years ago on his shoulder but, touchwood, he has had no recurrances of skin probs. I am convinced its the chappie diet. Has the fish oil/derivatives cleared up skin probs? I have also converted several of my dog owner friends to chappie, all say they have seen improvements with there dogs health. Chappie is cheap enough to give it a try.
