Advantages: Smooth results, not sticky and doesn't weigh hair down Disadvantages: Cost, funny smell, probably not good for creating spiky styles
...that it lacked the usual Charles Worthington smell that all the other products in the range have. The first word that came into my head to best describe the smell was 'baby'. It has a baby smell about it which isn't unplesant but I was disappointed that it didn't smell as nice as other products in the same range.

My Experience
-------------------
After poking the tub about for a bit I decided to test a small amount on my hair. I had chosen to buy this product in particular to smooth down those annoying wispy hairs that I only seem to notice when my hair is tied into a ponytail. I also thought it might be good for smoothing down the ends of my hair which are very dry and ... more
The Blurb ------------- "Brilliant shine styling glaze is a truly multifunctional styling pomade. Designed for wet or dry use, it's perfest for texturising, moulding and finishing your hair style. It helps to leave hair healthy-looking and glosy."
"Great stuff" I thought when I read the back of the tub "I'll try some of that". It states on the front of the tub that it is suitable for all hair types.
The Product ----------------- The styling glaze comes in a pale yellow tub to match the other items in the 'Shine On' range. It contains 50ml of product and the tub is small enough to fit into my hand. It is very lightweight, I am assuming this is because the glaze itself isn't gloopy like alot of styling products.

the directions for use are on the back. It suggests for damp hair that you "Take a finger-tip sized scoop between your hands and work through hair lengths, then shape". My hair was dry at the time so I followed the instructions to "run the glaze lightly through sections to be shaped or over surface for shine and smoothness". I was only using the tinyest amount at a time to ensure I didn't get a chip-pan look about my hair. It smoothed my hair down wonderfully and left a great glossy sheen. After smoothing down the wispy hairs I decided to have a bash at smoothing the ends down and defining the layers a bit. It gives such a natural look you really can't tell that there is any product there. It helps to define the shape of the hair but at the same time allow it to move naturally. It doesn't set like a gel would so you can keep re-shaping the hair after application if you wished. Another advantage to it not seeting hard is that you can just brush it out at the end of the day and it still leaves a glossy shine on your hair! I was so pleased with this product that I forgot all about the smell!
Conclusion ---------------
DO buy if - You want natural definition with a smooth glossy finish that doesn't set hard.
DON'T buy - If you are wanting to create extreme styles like spikes or mohawks, it won't hold them!
This product definatly does what it says on the tub and as only a small amount is needed at a time I'm sure it will last for quite while yet which makes the cost so worthwhile.
