Smooth as a smooth thing Part 2
Advantages: Even more smoothing ingredients Disadvantages: Getting more and more expensive now
...bar none!!
Charles Worthington products are available at Boots, and also at other selected stores. The Q&A range has been developed to tackle particular hair problems - the other products in the range are geared for those with sensitive scalps, so I would imagine those to be a grown up version of baby shampoo or similar.
Anyway, Q&A Frizz claims to reduce frizz by 70%. This promise is delivered by means of the serum ... ...to me, but if it works, well hey, slap me with a kipper and call me Susan.
Again, I find myself in my new Susan persona. As soon as you apply this stuff, it seems like all the knots in your hair are called to the place where they go when they die - next to the single socks, and three over from the biro lids, I believe. I have been using this stuff consistently for eight weeks, and I can no longer pick out that bit of hair.

Although I don't suffer from frizz in the normal manner, I do have one particularly unruly bit of hair on the back of my head from where I was run over when I was 9. In addition, my hair is a bit fine and flyaway, so thereby also prone to needing washing at least every two days to keep it looking nice. This conditioner is designed for frizzy and dry medium to thick hair, so my name isn't on this particular product, but the extra Boots Advantage card points drew me in - I am a total sucker for those.

Anyway, Q&A Frizz claims to reduce frizz by 70%. This promise is delivered by means of the serum contained within, and also by yoghurt. Seems a bit strange to me, but if it works, well hey, slap me with a kipper and call me Susan.

The smell of the product is more pleasant than the shampoo. Hubby to be assures me that the residual fragrance is clean smelling and a pleasure to bury his nose in. You can smell the yoghurt whilst conditioning, but this doesn’t remain in the air too long, and is not icky at all. There is a sort of talc-y smell to this, which is probably due to the rice proteins – another smoothing ingredient.
. I bought some of this for a friend who has huge hair extensions, and she has reported back that this is perfect for her, as she doesn't have to spend 10-20 minutes combing through after washing - it now takes about 2 1/2 minutes.
Unlike the shampoo, I go through this fairly fast. In eight weeks, I am nearing the end of my second bottle. I would expect this bottle to last at least another 10 washes, thereby giving a 2:1 ratio.
The price per bottle is £4.99, which gives a cost per wash of about 22p. I don’t think this is too bad, and is equivalent to other designer ranges. I will definitely be buying this again, as I think it compares incredibly well to products I have used previously, even the expensive ones like Kerastase and Redken.
No deduction for the smell on this one, so a full five!! I am just curious as to how this performs for someone with a serious frizz problem – if you’ve tried it, please put me out of my curiosity!!
