While wandering around the aisles in Boots a while ago, I spied a 3 for 2 offer on the Charles Worthington range. Attracted by all the pretty coloured products, I ventured over to see what was on offer. This product caught my eye as the description on the bottle made it sound like it could perform miracles on anyone’s hair – so naturally, I had to try it. The bottle itself is pretty plain, being a creamy colour with dark blue writing and the unmissable Charles Worthington logo emblazoned on the top. The bottle is a slightly odd shape being approx 4 ½ inches tall and 4 inches wide ... more

**The picture above is not the bottle that I used!!** I bought this product a while ago, and I had never used it until last night. I got in from work and had a nice long soak in the bath. I decided to spend a little bit time by myself before I went out. I washed my hair too, and decided that needed a little pick me up! I got out of the bath and started the process of trying to make my hair decent. I have shortish (bob style) blonde hair. Unfortunately I'm not a natural blonde, so bleaching my hair makes it quite dry and it can also be frizzy at times. I appreciate any product on the market ... more

I bought the "Takeaways" version of this product quite a while ago. Boots were having a "3 for 2" offer on all Charles Worthington Takeaways products so I tried the Intensive Leave-In Conditioner. It is £1.50 a bottle so I got 6 bottles for £6 because of this special offer. This "Intensive Leave-In Conditioner" is for all hair types. I also use Organics for Fine Hair and this seemed like a good compliment to that. I use the conditioner about twice a week. The bottle is about 4 inches (12cms) tall and it's a yellowy creamy colour. It's made from plastic and has a pump action top and a lid. I ... more

Advantages Advantages soft shiny non-greasy hair, CHEAP!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I have just found what I consider to be miracle cure, well for my type of hair anyway. I have long hair, with greasy roots (lovely) and very dry ends. I have tried various shampoo and conditioner treatments, those you leave in, those you wash out, those that cost a fortune and those that you make at home, to no avail, my hair is still the same. So it is with great delight that I introduce to you the delights of Charles Worthingtons hair healer! This little pump action miracle costs a mere £1.50 for 50ml (1.7fl.oz). It is a creamy colour and a lovely creamy, not greasy consistency and smells ... more

Advantages Advantages A little goes a long way

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Seems expensive

I have been buying this regularly for about a year now, and at £1.67 for 50ml it seems quite pricey (not the bottle in the picture). However, this "intensive conditioner" works out to be quite economical: the 50ml bottle (it has a pump attachment) lasts for a good while. Three pumps are enough for shoulder length hair. A little goes a long way. It is easy to apply, is not sticky, and seems to leave no residue on combs or hair stylers. You put it on to towel-dried hair, then comb. No need to rinse out. A real time saver. The comb glides through the hair. Great for me (and for the children). It ... more
