I bought the "Takeaways" version of this product quite a while ago. Boots were having a "3 for 2" offer on all Charles Worthington Takeaways products so I tried the Intensive Leave-In Conditioner. It is £1.50 a bottle so I got 6 bottles for £6 because of this special offer.

This "Intensive Leave-In Conditioner" is for all hair types. I also use Organics for Fine Hair and this seemed like a good compliment to that. I use the conditioner about twice a week.

The bottle is about 4 inches (12cms) tall and it's a yellowy creamy colour. It's made from plastic and has a pump action top and a lid. I get about 30 small applications out of one 50ml bottle but obviously people with more hair may need more conditioner. The bottles have lasted me months - in fact, I've had these for over a year and they haven't gone off or gone watery or been less effective. I would suggest they get kept in the cool bathroom though, rather than in sunlight.

On the back of the bottle are the following instructions.

"Use this highly concentrated conditioner sparingly. Apply a small amount of the product to towel dry hair using fingertips, then comb through. DON'T RINSE OUT."

The product is also good for the scalp and according to the back of the bottle it targets "damaged zones" and nourishes. This is true to an extent but it leaves me feeling itchy sometimes.

The conditioner smells rather like the inside of a hair dresser's shop, not surprisingly. It is yellow and very thick. I use a very small amount but even this tends to make my hair sticky and my head quite itchy at first, as I said earlier. This is good for me but for other people, they may find it irritating and unpleasant.

It doesn't leave my hair feeling very soft in the beginning but once it has dried out properly, the stiffness disappears and the edges of the longer parts of my hair go soft. My natural hair is quite greasy as well as being dry in hot weather, and this "Intensive Leave-In Conditioner" makes my hair less dry and greasy.

The smell of the conditioner tends to linger, unfortunately and this is particularly noticeable if I get caught in the rain! The smell could really be much nicer but I've had worse products.

I would recommend this for people who may need thicker, softer hair. A small 50ml bottle for just £1.50 goes a long way.

Never tried any of the Charles Worthington hair products, I'm more of a Toni & Guy girl or Boots own girl myself! Sarah x

Seems like a good one to try. I am always on the search for good leave-in conditioners.
