My hair is a misery. It's as dry as straw and looks like it's been tortured.
Before I end up looking like a scarecrow, I decided to try Charles Worthington ResultsMoisture-Seal Superconditioner. Boots had a supersaver deal (buy one, get one free), so I might as well get the shampoo as well. I mean, it's a salon brand, so it's bound to transform my hair, right?
Now, I'm a fantasist. Maybe I've watched too many shampoo commercials, but I've always imagined myself with long, lustrous hair...so silky and glossy. Tresses bouncing off shoulders with every movement, catching light at every turn. Will Charles Worthington be my hair saviour?
The bottle is almost flat and orange in colour. It says on the label that it's right for dry, permed or colour-treated hair, and it's suppose to 'detangle for super-smooth, manageable hair, infuse hair with intense rehydrators and smoothers, boost hair's natural ability to absorb and retain moisture, and protect dry hair from colour loss and heat-styling damage.' Regular use makes hair up to 3 x stronger. And it smells heavenly.
It sounds extremely promising, doesn't it? After the first few washes, my hair was exactly what they said it would be. Smooth, silky and it felt really really great! I couldn't stop touching my hair because it felt so gorgeous between my fingers. Finally, I thought, my crowning glory has resurrected!
BUT the fairytale didn't last very long. Because the effect on my hair was so brilliant, I decided to buy a second bottle when the first one was done. Soon after, my hair became dry again. It doesn't get tangled like it used to, but it reverted to becoming straw again. I thought that it was due to stress, but after prolonged use, there didn't seem to be any changes.
So, just the heck of it, give it a try to get that glorious feeling. But don't bother buying a second bottle. It'll just kill the fantasy.
