I have given it a rest for the past year or so in reviewing hair care products. There is always an abundance of them and they all basically say the same thing about the products. Or so I thought the characteristics of conditioners were all the same, until I invested in a bottle of ole Charles Worthington!

I used his shampoo and conditioner line for a while back in 2000 and loved the smell of it. Anywhere I went and I smelled someone else with that scent as they walked by, I would savour the scent. I think it was the 'normal hair' variety and was a light yellow hew.

After awhile, I stopped using it - not for any particular reason, but because I heard somewhere that it isn't good to use the same shampoo month after month because your hair gets used to the formula.

Well, I have recently brought Charles and his formulas back into my rotation and I simply have to share the results from his 'Results - rebalancing conditioner'!

I use it every second day in combination with Charles' 'Results - Normal' shampoo. I apply the conditioner quite liberally so that my head is coated. I then let it sit/soak into my tendrils for a good two - three minutes before I start rinsing. I find this makes the scent stay in all day as well as the conditioning benefits.

The conditioning benefits are fabulous. My hair is quite thick and wavy so I was looking for a product that would tame that issue. And it did. The conditioner calms my hair down so that frizz doesn't start to puff up until late in the afternoon. It also detangles well so brushing my hair afterwards is no longer a problem.

The downside isn't too major. The treatment locks in water from the shower so your hair is left pretty soaking wet even after a towel dry. Blow drying works well, but it takes some of the smoothing properties of the conditioner away. I either wash my hair well in advance of going out, or blow dry in the mornings. Either way, it is a huge improvement to my frizz, tangles and dryness before I discovered this Charles Worthington formula!

The bottles come in 255mL or the little 'Take-aways' travel bottles and Boots often has the 3for2 offer on Charles Worthington products. Otherwise a bottle will usually run you about 3.99

Highly recommended for the scent and the results!
