This can be bought from most large supermarkets. I got mine from Sainsburys on special offer for £2.68. The usual price is £3.99 but Boots have an offer on at the moment 2 for £6.
- Other Charles Worthington Products -
This is the conditioner in Charles Worthington's 'Stay Smooth' range. Other items in this
range are:
Frizz-Taming Serum
Protection Spray
Shampoo
Straightening Balm
As well as this Stay Smooth Conditioner, Charles Worthington has a host of conditioners available to cater for almost every type of hair:
I like the packaging, it's almost like a cuboid but has curved edges. The 250ml bottle stands is approx 14cm tall and 11cm wide. The conditioner is dispensed through a hole at the top with a 'lift-the-flap' cover. The container is a very, very pale aquamarine colour
-What does Charles Worthington promise from this product?-Smooth-all-over-conditioner = de-frizz + rehydration + manageability.
Regular use of this product which has a keraflex complex makes your hair up to three times stronger, leaving it looking healthier, shinier and smoother.
Rehydrates parched hair for improved controllability and styling.
Fortifies hair to protect from colour loss and heat-styling damage.
-My Experience-Anyone who has read my reviews relating to hair care products will know that I detest my hair!! It's coarse and frizzy and although I have a couple of favourite products nothing has ever given it a sleek look, I'm destined to have frizz unless I apply the straighteners.
Anyway, enough moaning, back to the product:
-Colour and Smell -
This is a very pale aquamarine, quite thick cream which has a very clean and fresh smell to it.
- Using it -
Not surprisingly I apply this after my shampoo. The first time I used it I lathered my hair with it and have since learned that a little really does go a long way! It's easily applied and again easy to rinse out, just make sure you get it all out otherwise, as with all conditioners it can leave your hair looking limp and greasy if it isn't not totally removed.
In terms of what it does, this deep conditioner really detangles my hair leaving it much more manageable, it looks and feels a lot smoother when wet. However when I dry it, the frizz is still there until I use the straighteners which is disappointing as it does state 'de-frizz' on the bottle. My hair doesn't look glossy and the curls, kinks and frizz just don't look smoother!
As for making my hair 3x stronger, I can't comment........I've used it for a month and don't really know what 'strong hair' should be!! As for repairing split ends, I was once told that the only effective treatment for split ends was to have them cut off!
I also can't say 100% that it protects my hair from colour loss and heat-styling damage. I tend to dye my hair once every 4 weeks when the ghastly signs of old age start rearing their ugly roots so the rest of my hair doesn't really have time to lose it's oh so natural colour!
- My Verdict -
In comparison to other conditioners that I have used, this is relatively good. What I particularly like about the 'bumph' on the bottle is that it doesn't go on about 'cat-walk sleek' looks etc as we all know that that is mostly only achieved by being preened by top stylists etc. Unlike the other C.W. conditioner I have used, this doesn't do what it promises on the bottle. Yes, my hair feels extremely smooth, soft and tangle-free when wet but once the heat goes on to it it just frizzes up again and it doesn't leave it smooth all over!
I don't dislike this so much that I won't finish the bottle. The frizz is just too much for even the most fortified hair products to calm!

Now I just didn't know this until writing the review but CW started his career as an architect. He then trained as a hairdresser and started with a small salon, he know has five highly successful London salons and one in New York which attracts a lot of celebs!
