I love having straight hair. Naturally my hair is curly so I tend to use Straightners quite often maybe three to four times a week. Obviously 200C heat isn't good for the condition of your locks. So most hairdressers would recommend that you use some sort of protection spray.
I decided to use Charles Worthington's protection spray as it was relativelt cheap, only £3.99 at your local Boots. Also I have used some of his shampoos before and been pleased with the results.
However this spray is a totally different matter! The results were not good! It's very easy to use: Just wash and blow dry your hair as normal, then section off the hair, spray onto each section of the hair and then run the straightens through it et voila...straight hair.
The spray first of all smells horrible like really strong hairspray and that is the last thing I want my hair to smell of..I would prefer a fruity fragrance not something that smelt as if i had sprayed a whole can of hairspray over me!
When applied to the hair it has the same effect of hairspray it makes the hair go hard and stick together. This is before even running the straightening irons through it, not very promising. Once the the hair has been straightened it makes your locks feel and look sticky. Your hair sort of sticks together in the little sections you have straightened it in.
After styling all sections of your hair..the end results are disappointing. My hair lacked any sort of shine. My hair was also very very dry and sticky. This made it really hard to brush and caused quite a lot of tangles. Overall the style looked frizzy and dull. Even after brushing it still looked dull and sticky! Not very appealing.
The staying power of the spray was not good. Compared to other proctection sprays I have used my hair didn't stay perfectly smooth for very long.
The packaging is quite nice as the long, slim, blue bottle looks quite funky. But after using the product around three times I realised it didnt really represent good value for money as I haven't used it since...a waste of £3.99.
To be perfectly honest I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I have given the spray to friends and they too had the same problems. If you have fine hair the stickiness will make it look greasy and limp, thick hair and the spray makes your style look dull and frizzy. Using it on curly hair is a big no no as it lacks staying power and once you get outside into the wind I can guarantee you will get your ringlets back.

I think this review is really good. before reading this i would have considered buying this spray as charles worthington is a really well known make with a good reputation. I also have quite curly hair and also straighten my hair nearly everyday, this results it in becoming quite split-ended and im looking for a good spray! Thanks for advising me not to go for this one. although the price is right my hair is quite dull already without making it even worse!!!
