WHY
DID I CHOOSE THIS?
I have long hair which I like to try and keep healthy and shiny. Unfortunately since the introduction of hair straighteners my hair seems to be suffering. I was walking round boots and saw this product on offer. Charles Worthington is a hairdresser I have seen in magazines and such and thought I would try one of his products. This was the first time I had bought anything by Charles Worthington.
PRICE :-
When I bought this it was on offer. 2 for £6. My mum was with me at the time so it was a good deal, paying £3 each. You can buy this in Boots now for £3.99. If you go to the website to try and buy this they will direct you to the boots website. I have had a look around on the internet and can't seem to find this anywhere!
Some of the products in the RESULTS range can be found in RESULTS TAKEAWAYS, this means the bottle is much smaller and obviously cheaper. You can buy a takeaway version of this for £1.65 for a 75ml bottle.
PACKAGING :-
The bottle itself is quite appealing. WIth most 'designer' hair care products it is a bright, vibrant colour. This range from Charles Worthington is a fresh yellow.
It is quite light and if you shake it you can feel the liquid swishing around. It stands 16 and a half cm tall, with the lid being 4cm. It is a 200 ml / 6.75 fl.oz bottle, with a very simple design. I think they don't put much writing on the front to try and make it look sophisticated. Some designer products such as Tigi I think are aimed more at younger people, but this one appeals to older people too.
The writing on the front simply states what the product is and that is suitable for all hair types and gives medium hold. On the back we are given directions, ingredients and what the product claims to do, all in the tiniest writing !
HOW TO APPLY:-
The bottle has a spray pump on which helps to cover all of your hair. You can't just use a little bit of this other wise you won't cover the whole area, and if you have long hair like me it's a bit of a nightmare. The directions they give on the bottle are to spray onto towel dried hair and lift sections up to ensure thorough coverage. The spray pump is not that easy to use and it really is an effort trying to spray the back of your hair.
When you are happy that you have covered all your hair you can then blow dry. I expected to have lovely shiny hair after blow drying but this wasnt the case.
WHAT DOES IT DO :-
What this product claims to do and what it actually does are two different things. It claims to make your hair stronger, healthier, shinier and smoother. It will supposedly create natural-looking body and bounce, re-form your style between washes and strengthen your hair to help protect from heat-styling damage.
So what does it actually do? It makes you hair smell like the product and leaves your hair looking quite lank. I wouldn't recommend using this anywhere near the roots of your hair as it makes your hair look flat. Especially having long hair pulling it down you need all the help you can get to make it look like it has volume. I found it took longer to dry my hair after using this product and it was a complete waste of time.
After blowdrying my hair without this product my hair usually feels relatively soft anyway and I didn't notice a difference using this.
WHAT DOES IT SMELL LIKE :-
The smell isn't very pleasant at all. If you just spray some into the lid and smell it, it actually smells quite 'toxic', that is a bit of a harsh word to use for a hair product, but it really isn't very nice at all. It isn't sweet smelling, quite the opposite. You just want to turn your nose up and put the lid back on. Obviously when it is on your hair it doesn't smell as strong but even a diluted version of it isn't very nice.

Overall I give this product 1 out of 10, I do not recommend!
