The comic portrayal of Louis XI and his side-kick.
For me, too much romance, and not enough plot. (*)
Unorthodox lead characters, a realistically dark tale in a bleak setting with a convincing mystery
Not the most realistic dialogue, maybe too grim for some (*)
similar by Title (First Letter) (C)
Some characters are really interesting; the story is not bad
Too many loose ends and an unsatisfactory ending (*)
Great descriptions, really transports you into the world of the crusades...
None I've found, apart from the inability to put it down! (*)
That Christopher has the strength to re building his life
That this is a true story (*)
Great characterisation, fascinating story, social history background
Some of the later parts of the story are hard to believe though I wanted to (*)
similar by Author Surname (First Letter) (S)
Good historical grounding
A rather average plot (*)
The time and place
The lack of believability (*)
Compelling, gripping, haunting, etc
Lots of talk but not much insight, pointlessly obsessive (*)
It's a quick read with some interesting ideas
If you are expecting a standard hard-hitting holocaust story, this isn't it (*)
Fascinating, brilliant book in all aspects
None, absolutly none! (*)
