The best thing since sliced bread! Advantages: Brilliant way of communicating Disadvantages: Very addictive Msn is an instant message service, similar to the 'chat' feature on Facebook however msn is where they got the idea for it from. You can have conversations with multiple people at once, you just need to click on which contact you want to talk to & your conversation with that particular person will come up on the screen. Of course you know when someone has replied to your last message as the certain conversation box will flash orange & make a sound. ... ...live without msn. I don't know anyone who doesn't have it. I've been using it for years now & it has become almost like a way of life. The great thing about it is that it's free, better than using the phone. You can have conversations using webcams which eliminates the need for a phone altogether. Habbo Advantages: Fun, everlasting RPG Disadvantages: Bad filter, easy to get scammed, (for more see review) habbohotel.com (Habbo) is the "hangout for teens" but this is my opinion. Habbo is an online everlasting RPG where you join as a Habbo, make friends, play games and see yourself as a 3D game character. Go to habbohotel.com (UK www.habbo.co.uk) and click on "Register", then you have to make your "habbo", fill in details etc. You need to be a limited age though, 13... Once you've logged on, you can play in the HabboHotel. You will require Shockwave ... ...to other "habbo's" rooms or go to a public space. Habbo does have a filter to cover up bad words (swear words) but you can easily get around this filter. If you do say a bad word which the computers know is a bad word then it comes up with "Bobba" instead of **** or (Curse). More like Fakeparty! Advantages: Simple to use, smooth interface and reliable. Disadvantages: Extremely stuckup community and lack of customer service. I had been using this place from 2002 - 2005, before the likes of MySpace and Facebook improved their public image and become vastly popular. However when I look back, I really wish I hadn't spent so much time on this place. Although, there wasn't really any alternatives back then for online communities. Faceparty was even voted a website of the year at some point, can't remember when, but that shows the lack of competition it had back in the day. ... ...Faceparty, as I deleted my account there sometime in 2006. Yet they used to have this former dominatrix or current dominatrix as their agony aunt. Giving extremely sarcastic or arrogant replies to every question being sent in. Yahooligans everywhere Advantages: Lots of info in one place, good email storage Disadvantages: Receive lots of spam, website is aimed more at US users. ...the UK signing up with Yahoo.com maybe wasn't the smartest idea I ever had, however it was 12 years ago when I signed up, I was young and naive. I mainly used Yahoo.com for the email account that you get, it's a free account that gives you a lot of storage. It's a webmail service which means that your mailbox is online and as such requires no space on your hard-drive, but you have to be online to access your emails. Setting up the account is easy ... ...offers' aka spam. Yahoo.com as a whole has a whole load of other features, similar to any other major email/broadband provider. Such as chat sites, dating, music streaming, movie news, finance, messenger, games etc. I used the chat sites a long time ago, and back then they were fun, but now they are a lot more moderated and swearing seems to be a big no no, even in the adult rooms.
