Having bought so much eye makeup recently, I realised that I needed a good eye makeup remover, since the one I had been using was VERY old (I won't tell you how old). So, after deciding on Decleor Eye make up remover gel, I had a look on the internet (kelkoo to be precise) to find the cheapest price available at a reputable online shop - www.cheapsmells.com seemed to be the best, so I decided to order from them.

The website, in my opinion is easy to navigate and tidy looking, with its dark pink,
green and black colour scheme. The home page has a selection of the products they sell, with a picture of the product - the rrp, the price cheapsmells sell it at and the amount you will save by buying it from them. Before buying, I usually like to check the delivery details (no point in buying something cheaper only for the delivery to bump up the price) and the FAQs - there are buttons for each of these at the top of the page, and any questions I had about the items being genuine, the delivery prices (95p per item) and times were answered here.
To find the product you want, you can either select a category (Perfume, Aftershave, Skincare, Haircare, Cosmetics, Bath & Body, Gift Sets), search for it (by gender, price, category, brand or keyword search), or select one of the buttons for new arrivals, award winners, special offers or best sellers. Because I knew what I was looking for, I just typed it into keyword search and voila!
On the product page, the search options and other buttons are still there, which is great because you can then search for further products from there instead of having to go to the home page or 'advanced search', which I always find annoying!
All you have to do after this is select the quantity desired and 'add to basket'. You can then either 'checkout' or continue shopping. After you have finished shopping (if you're anything like me, you'll have a nosy around to see how much cheaper you could have bought SO many cosmetics and perfumes!), it's just a case of entering your personal details, and selecting options such as gift wrapping and special recorded delivery, which cost extra. I was pleasantly surprised to find that delivery only cost 95p per item - this was good for me as I was just buying one item, but could work out quite pricey if you bought a lot.
You are then sent an invoice to your email address. When the item is despatched, you are sent another email

Obviously, the first reason I bought from this site was the price (the eye makeup remover gel is sold for £14 to £20 in the high street or other online stores - I bought it from cheapsmells for £9.90 including P&P, which is quite a good saving for a more expensive product), but the service from this website was very good.
On the 7th of August, I received an email to advise me that my product had been despatched - I received it on the 11th, which is not bad as the website states 'Orders are normally dispatched within 1 working day and the majority of orders are delivered in 4 working days. However we cannot guarantee the speed of the Royal Mail service so we ask that you wait 8 working days before contacting us in the event of the non receipt of goods. All prices are inclusive of VAT which we prepay to Customs and Excise as the goods enter the UK'
I only realised when I received my product that cheapsmells are based in Guernsey, part of the Channel Islands, so there was a customs declaration on the package!
The product came really well packaged in bubble wrap, in a box with polystyrene nuggets. The cardboard box was well sealed and sturdy, and the package had the return address of cheapsmells on it. This was something I really appreciated as I had not paid much for the P&P, but my product had been well taken care of.
Overall, I'm really glad I found this website as I used quidco to receive 6.5% cashback, made a healthy saving on the normal price of a product and received really good service - I would definitely use this website again!
