Not your average cheesy review :)
Review of Sainsbury's Cottage Cheese, Natural by Olgita2

Advantages: less then 5% fat in it, it is good for you, suitable for vegetarians
Disadvantages: gets boring after a while,

...natural option. So at my Sainsbury's I grabbed the first thing next to yogurts in a boring packaging (boring packaging=wholesome goodness inside) WHAT IS COTTAGE CHEESE??? If you wanna try this at home this is a recipe 1 Gallon Fresh Milk 4 oz. Mesophilic Starter Culture 1/4 tab Rennet It is a creamy, cheese with little lumps around 1cm in diameter that are swimming in milky yogurty type mixture with finer lumps in it. Apparently warm milk has ...
...made from cows' milk. SAINSBURY'S COTTAGE CHEESE It comes in several flavours and varieties. First of all we have " be good to yourself" range and "I like my food with some calories in it range". They cost the same and it really depends which flavour you prefer. I like standard cottage cheese. It comes in a 250g blue and yellow plastic pot and costs £0.53. Then you have your pineapple and chive varieties which cost £0.83. My advice go for standard ... Read review

In Praise of Cottage Cheese
Review of Sainsbury's Cottage Cheese, Organic by pennywa

Advantages: Creamy taste, nice lumps, good for me and low in fat
Disadvantages: Hard to remove foil lid

...I've acquired a taste for Sainsbury's own range of Organic Cottag Cheese. It's more expensive than their usual range but i think it tastes so much better. It costs about 30p more than their normal brand - so I think this is about £1.09 for a 200g pot. It's not runny like some brands you can get and the cheese has largish lumps and it tastes really very creamy in consistency. I love to eat it on Ryvita, on toast and in ham rolls for college. I also ...
...my friends think I'm weird when I do this though! It's in a blue and white container with a foil lid underneath the top. Sometimes getting the lid of can be a bit problematic and I've spilt it a couple of times, but I can be clumsy. It isn't too salty either like some brands of cottage cheese I've tried as it's low in salt. It can be difficult to get in my Sainsburys because they don't always stock very many and sometimes the ones they do have in ... Read review

Ewwww, I don't like cottage cheese
Review of Morrisons Cottage Cheese with Pineapple by mum2natalie

Advantages: Easy snack food
Disadvantages: none

...good value I think. Morrisons is the only one of the places I've been where I've seen they do a smaller pot (standard yoghurt pot size). Everywhere else they average a 250g pot. I find this size perfect for a large jacket potato or more than enough as the main part of a salad. This cottage cheese was lovely and thick, sizeable chunks of pineappe in it and plenty of it too. You couldn't eat a mouthful without having a few pieces of pineapple. It ...
...the 250g pot. Not low in cals I don't think but very low in fat - the version i bought was the Better For You pot which has less than 1% fat per 100g. Next time you're in Morrisons give this a try - you won't be disappointed. ... Read review

I'll have some of that Healthy Living, please.
Review of Tesco Cottage Cheese by lorrmid

Advantages: Very tasty and relatively cheap.
Disadvantages: It would be easy to eat the whole tub in one sitting.

...meal. Bring on the Tesco Healthy Living range of Cottage Cheeses. There are several different varieties to choose from at varying prices so you can always have a different taste. I find this important as you can so easily get bored with the same tastes. They all come in 300g tubs and are available in natural at 75p, crunchy vegetable at 91p, onion and chive or pineapple at 93p and tuna and sweetcorn at £1.06. As they are specifically a Tesco brand, ...
...The one I chose to start me off was the cottage cheese with pineapple. Costing 93p for a 300g was, I felt very reasonable as long as it was tasty. The front of the tub is not very exciting at all with the bottom half being orange and the top a pale blue. You are advised of the product name on the front and that it is made from skimmed milk and cheese. You are also advised that it is less than 2% fat and 113 calories per serving - which is all well ... Read review
