Cheryl Cole: Her Story - The Unauthorized Biography - Gerard Sanderson

...gift, and although i love Cheryl Cole, im not a major reader, so it took me a while to pick it up and read it. However, i decided to give it a go, as i do love Cheryl, and watched her in Concert with Girls Aloud the other week, and it tempted me to read. And im so glad i did!

This book, written by Gerard sanderson, focused on Cheryls life from the beginning, explaining how she grew up in a council estate in Newcastle with her family, ...
...her life, still continuing today. Cheryl comes across as a laid back, down to earth girl with so much determination that i have nothing but admiration for her. The book focused on her childhood, her journey through PopStars: The Rivals and her rise from Charver to Style Icon and most beautiful woman in various magazine polls. Knowing Cheryl has fought for her fame, which was portrayed in the book, made me respect her so much more.

I recieved this book as a christmas gift, and although i love Cheryl Cole, im not a major reader, so it took me a while to pick it up and read it. However, i decided to give it a go, as i do love Cheryl, and watched her in Concert with Girls Aloud the other week, and it tempted me to read. And im so glad i did!

This book, written by Gerard sanderson, focused on Cheryls life from the beginning, explaining how she grew up in a council estate in Newcastle with her family, a life far from what she has become accustomed to today.

I wont go into a lot of information that the book contains (there is loads!) as i would truly recommend it. As previously mentioned, i dont normally read, and i read this book in a week!! Absolute record. It had that influence that i just wanted to continue reading.

What was so refreshing about the book, is to discover that the nations sweetheart who appears to have it all, actually began life in tough circumstances, and has faced many challenges through her life, still continuing today. Cheryl comes across as a laid back, down to earth girl with so much determination that i have nothing but admiration for her. The book focused on her childhood, her journey through PopStars: The Rivals and her rise from Charver to Style Icon and most beautiful woman in various magazine polls. Knowing Cheryl has fought for her fame, which was portrayed in the book, made me respect her so much more.

The pictures (roughly 10 pages worth) even show how far cheryl has come, from being a cute youngster, to a bit of a chav, to a truly beautiful young woman. Its no secret Cheryl had a tough journey; the book explains the struggles she faced when accused of racist comments and attacking a toilet attendant, which was explained in the book. However, the book then describes the efforts she put in to turn her reputation around and fight for the respect she clearly has gained today. The book ends where Cheryls true fame began, her role as an X Factor judge. Cheryl has been offered various TV opportunities, and eventually signed up to a deal with Simon Cowell to be a 4th Judge on X factor, replacing Sharon Osbourne.

The book is definately worth a read, its compelling and real and takes away the sparkle and perfection that is associated with the type of fame Cheryl has, it displays the hard work, dedication and determination Cheryl had as well as personal difficulties she has overcome, now backed with suport by the nation. Seriously, buy this book, you will NOT be disappointed!!!
