The Cheshire fulfilled this requirement, but so do many others. What probably swayed us was the lack of fees that the Cheshire charges - no arrangement fee, no valuation fee and they also paid the solicitors fee as we were remortgaging.
Now we are ... ...Cheshire on a flexible mortgage so that it can be paid off early without penalties. The only drawback is that we have to go through the application process again with more forms to fill in.
With a good range of loans available and the absence of fees (on most of their range) we have found the Cheshire, overall, to be a good lender. ...

well at first we were gratefull to them for getting us a first mortgage, they retained some money for work that needed doing but no more than was expected. when it comes down to getting your money of them dont expect them to sort it out quikly will you. we sent all our things off and was told we would get it in a week no more, 4 weeks later we still hadnt got it, 5 times they said ythey would phone back, 2 times they said if there is no problem we ... ...our builders to threaten legal action on us for them to get their fingers out and give us our money we were owed. disgracefull behaviour for a big company we phoned up ever day to keep a check on the situation and still to no avail,they have really gone down in my estimations and as soon as we can move our mortgage we will, they are all to quick to start taking your mortgage payments but not to relises the money they owe you. awful ...
