Advantages: Light, thinner and faster than the old PSP, with some nifty features. Disadvantages: No infrared, battery life lower than usual PSP's.
The PSP Slim is a smaller and slimmer version of the original, hence the name. Now with a third less weight, at 189g and about four-fifths the thickness (19mm). It costs around the same as the old one, £130.
The new weight is immediately noticeable as soon as you hold the PSP in your hand. It's so light that you might think that it's missing something. Sony was able to slim down the battery size while maintaining the 5hr standard PSP time.
The speakers have gone on the front, the wifi switch is now on the top to stop turning WLAN off and the UMD drive is spring loaded.
The display remains the same, but the slim includes a video output that will let the PSP connect to a TV.
Sony has doubled the built-in memory RAM from 32MB to 64MB, and the new PSP will also be able to speed up game load times with extra memory. The PSP slim ...
Advantages: Great portable media player. Ideal for Games & Movies Disadvantages: Not so good as an MP3 player as a little bulky.
This is an ideal portable console/MP3 Player and MP4 Player for all. Since having the PSP I no longer find myself bored whilst on the train to work. I generally use it for gaming and watching movies. The gameplay/graphics are awesome for such a small device. The added bonus of the PSP is that you can switch it off and when you switch it back on again it allows you to play where you left off even if this is half way through a football match.
As for movie capability, this is straight forward. As long as you have a large enough memory card, you can load MP4 files and watch movies on the go with the PSP.
I don't really use the PSP as an MP3 player as it's a little too bulky for the pocket. I don't think this is the main benefit of the PSP but the option's there.
I would recommend this to anyone who's travelling a lot and it ...
Advantages: Clear screen, lots of features, easy to use and a large range of games and movies. Disadvantages: Can't be used with strong light and quite easy to damage/scratch
The Sony PSP is a gaming device made for on the go gamers. There is a very wide range of games you can play on the PSP, and these mainly consist of previous PlayStation 2 games such as Grand Theft Auto Vice City and other classic games. The PSP is set out like a PlayStation controller but with a 4.3 inch screen in the middle. The console itself is a great size and does not weight very much. The screen also is very good - it delivers a clear picture and depending on the game, not bad graphics. The games are stored on a UMD disk which stands for Universal Media Disks which consist of 1.8GB. As well as buying games on the UMD disks, you can also buy popular films such as Spiderman and watch them on the go.
Not only is the PSP a great gaming and video playback device, but it can also be used as an MP3 player, a photo viewer and an internet ...
