...The Thames van was built between 1959 and 1965. Designed in 10/12 or 15 cwt and as a panel van, chassis cab with flat bed, box or to customers design. The 400E club helps owners to source parts and buy reconditioned items on return of old, there is also a newsletter and information about some rallies providing opportunities for owners to meet up. 400E's were built in Dagenham and were Fords pre Transit small commercial. Although not a particularly fast vehicle by today's standard, they came in three and then four speed, first gear been of the crash type the others have synchromesh, these are simple and fun vans to drive and I recommend membership of the 400e ownersclub should you own one. :-)...

...THE MINI
The Mini has been around since 1957/1958 but they stopped production. However, it was resurrected in 1997 by BMW but the Classic Mini, may it be Austin, City, Cooper, etc. are still popular. Even more so than the new one, which are much bigger and shouldn't really be called a Mini. The Mini even has lots of clubs, websites, magazines devoted to them. These usually get you mini merchandise, magazines through the post and there would be a meet up. Much like the huge event that is 'London-to-Brighton Mini Run'. I've been to that a few times where thousands of Mini's drive from Crystal Palace to Brighton for various events to watch and with lots of things to buy.

...I've had my mitisubishi shogun for over 2 years now and really enjoy this ownersclub, as it gives owners the opportunity to exchange ideas, talk about performance and most of all meet up with like minded drivers! On the website there is a forum where you cna ask advice and have a general chat in the online chat room. As well as being easy to use the website also contains lists of part suppliers and product information direct from the manufacturers at mitisubishi should there be any need for a product or component recall! Additonally if you want to sell any part of you motor then this club is for you, with an excellent feature allowing you to sell to a ready market of enthusiasts....
