Advantages: Hilarious Disadvantages: not a long book - would have loved it to have been longer
I had read Adrian Mole when I was younger but couldnt really remember it so I decided to give it another go. especially when I realised there are other books in the series.
I am so glad I did as there are things in the book that I dont think I would have "got" as a child. He has got to be one of the funniest characters I have ever read about in a a fiction book. He is innocent and wise, observant and obsessed with himself, dumb and a genius.
Adrian lets the reader peep into his world through his diary. Aged 13 3/4 he strongly feels he is a 'misunderstood intellectual' and spends most of his time reading.
He spends some of his time taking care of a stubborn old man called Bert Baxter & his dog Sabre. He also complains of being malnourished and blames his parents for all his pimples. It upsets him when his mother leaves him ...
Advantages: Amazing comfort, load space, Towing Capacity LPG savings Disadvantages: Parts can be costly, maintainence needs to be maticulous
I bought a Blazer 6 months ago after owning Frontera's, Shoguns and numerous landrovers.
By far the S10 UK spec Blazer leaves them in the dust, mines LPG converted making it supprisingly economic, drive it on a motorway run and you can return fantstic value for money, i took mine to France recently and drove from York to Dover at motorway speeds with 4 adults and luggage and cost was £40.
I had heard reports that parts were expensive, my outlook on this is overall the cost of chevrolet parts is relative to owning a Range Rover.
if your willing to wait parts are easily obtained from the USA at reasonable costs (just watch for the shipping fees)
The comfort offered by the Chevrolet is amazing, you can spend a whole day behind the wheel and still get out feeling fresh, the drive is amazingly easy for such a big vehicle. Parking in ...
I have always loved the idea of owning a American Car.I thought that they would be expensive to run. The Insurance was £200 a year cheaper than for a Rover 620si, we have also found that it does not use anymore fuel than the rover did.We have got 4 children between us so we needed a big car/people carrier to fit us all in.We have got plent of room to fit us all in and the comfort is outof this world. With a yank you get air con as standard also the heating is better than in the cars over here.As for parts if you join a car club you can get a discount on parts and get them sent straight from the states at no extra. I don't think that in the futrue I will be driving anything but a yank, they are good clean fun. ...
