Its Autotrac system automatically engages four-wheel drive when you need it. The Blazer can hit 0 to 60mph in about 10sec only and all this is consistent throughout its lifetime. The luxurious four doors LT model upgraded with leather upholstery, power driver seat and overhead console but inside environment doesn't feel especially American. The Blazer's handling seems sloppy and its turning circle wide. Faults include spotty build quality and low-grade interior plastics. The addition of a second airbag is very important in light of the Blazer's very poor NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) one-star frontal crash test score for the passenger in prior years. But at last, this 4x4 has been going strong in the US since the early 1980s as it works well on-road and off-road.
Of all the car's and 4x4's I've owned (over 35!!) this is one of my favourites. Its different and well put together.

Comfort/Drive: Excellent quality leather. Loads of extras, electric everything. Put together to last. If you intend ... ...rubber. I had performance directional tyres which on the road are fantastic, off road a liability.
Problems I had: Dealer (in Milton Keynes) totally incompetent when it came to services and rectifying the problems they created. (a long, long story), Black shows up the stone chips more than other colours I've seen.
Economy : If you buy the hulking 4x4 because its cheap be prepared for a shock. Its cheap for a reason..... 16 miles to the gallon. ...

Advantages: Comfortable, good engine, good gas mileage for an SUV Disadvantages: Haven't found any yet
I bought a 2000 Chevy Blazer and it has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. The first thing that impressed me was the size. It is about the same length as a standard car but when you get inside you have lots of room. If you go on road trips, you have plenty of room in the back seat for the kids to sleep and still enough space in the tail for a family of 4's luggage without blocking your view through the back window. The seats are comfortable, ...
