The ChevroletConvertible, is a pure American emotional drive. If there is one car in the world that is absolutely 100% Americana...I believe its the Chevrolet Corvette. Back in the 50s a group of core engineers at Chevrolet were designated to create an American sports-car...and "bish-bash-bosh"...6 generations later...you have the C6 Chevrolet Convertible being reviewed. I'm going to take a peek inside, and yes it does actually have a boot as well. But lets start by looking under the bonnet. Okay "hood" open. I can see it has the LS2 engine, and you better believe it, its a big piece of American iron. Call it 6 litres if you want. I'm going to call it 364 cubic inches, I don't know when and where exactly the litres came in, long ago it was all about cubic inches. This motor has 400 hp and 400 lbs-ft (542 Nm) of torque...which in my opinion is just a slither under the last incarnation of the "vette ZO6".
Now the performance of this car is not only revolutionary, but also new for the Corvettein general. A paddle shifted automatic transmission is something I don't know if it looks out of place, but for me it functions very well. When I am talking about the visceral feel of performance in this car, it is everything I want and more, open-air excitement, big horsepower, that big car sports-car feel...that only the Corvette can deliver, it is truly a piece of American performance hoo-yah ! There isn't enough space to write about all the styling cues on Chevy Convertible C6 that come from all the previous generation Corvettes. Everything from the slice on the bonnet to the fender flair that comes over the wheel openings...everything about it is quintessential Corvette.
Yes, ..come to daddy...I just love the vents on the low long wide slung doors, and thankful for the nice flat big wide boot and of course the electric roof is the best thing to happen to this car, since it was conceived. If there's one place I want to be in a Chevrolet Convertible, that's in the drivers seat. I could write about the selective ride, I could write about the new navigation system, the incredible audio system, all the new gauges personable to everything you could possibly imagine to make this car my own. And that's truly what the ownership of a Corvette is about. But what it comes down to is this when I am in the driver's seat, I'm out, on the road, wind in my hair..there's few cars out there that can give me that feel-so-goood "X-factor" experience. Now when you consider all the new electronics, that make it easy to live with, easy to drive in traffic, easy to drive on the motorway..for me it just makes this car that much better..the only thing wrong with this car is that most people in the world do not have the opportunity to drive one !
This car is Pure Americana its everything a 6-figure European car can give you and well under that. This car has good ride quality it handles like it has much bigger suspension, like a big town luxury car. I took this car over multiple railway tracks, and I tell you I didn't really feel the bumps. To sum up I would say my main criticism to this car has been to my social life, when testing and driving this car I accumulated alot more friends I do not necessarily need !

It would be interesting to read more about your actual experiences of owning, driving and using the car rather than quite so much description of its appearance, but it sounds great. We have a 1980s T-top Corvette and love going out in it on a sunny day!
