Advantages: Cheap motoring "What You See Is What You Get" Disadvantages: The more image concious won't like it

I have reached the grand old age of 27, and until this car I have been badge obsessed (VW Mazda and Vauxhall)...and in my 10 yr driving history spent a tidy penny for the privilege of a simple badge.
I have heard people slate and praise the car equally, ... ...reliable, cheap motor that has decent performance and lot larger then a cinquecento for all the family. Fiat still has the cheap reliable image but a-lot less performance.
When I hear people complain about the finish and standard of driving WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!! when you spend on average 1/2 to 2/3 of the price compared to an equivalent badge car (a/c, Alloy, 4xelectric window etc), Its like going to MacDonald's in a suit and expecting ... more

Onto the car it handles the motorway well and is comfortable enough. MPG was a little low first few days but ignition lead change and new air filter saw instant improvement. The looks are similar to an Astra. I feel I have got my moneys worth with gadgets and reliability by far. Local garage say there are no mechanical issues related to the model.
In short it does exactly what it says on the tin. For all you image worrying people...if you don't like it then stop being stingy and buy a car with a badge at twice the price. Or go for a BMW at nearly 5 times the price and from my experience 5 times the trouble, my parents Diesel BMW is in the garage nearly every month blocked filters…gunged pipes etc
Would happily replace in 18months when I'm due, and get the same model. Especially when thinking back to my first "A-Reg" Austin metro!!! Now that was proper chance motoring, take a chance on it starting and the most high-tech was the cigarette lighter…LOL

...times when breaking. After ringing Chevrolet (it was still under warranty) the car went in to be looked at, the above problems being highlighted. We were informed, on all four occasions that the car went in, that there was absolutely no fault to be found whatsoever. After that fourth time and looking around on the internet for anyone else with similar problems we went back to the 'National Dealer' to see if they would part ex it for another car they ... ...£3000 and I'm sorry to say that this was the average offer at all the car dealers we approached.
So, we ended up cutting our losses - thats a £2000 loss in the space of four months. The car I went for was a new Fabia - which will be my next review - but so far the best car I've driven for both economic and safety reasons. ...

Advantages: good looks, value for money, space. Disadvantages: could have better radio/CD
I recently bought the Lacetti Sx Station Wagon. Conclusions? Excellent value for money with the right deal, drives well, good riding position, comfortable. The fully adjustable steering wheel, with both up/down and reach adjustment made finding a good driving position easy. The passenger compartment is fairly well insulated too from noise. Not had it to long to comment on Petrol Consumption, but from use so far, seems about the same as the Picasso ... ...of load area in the back, in fact larger in floor area than the Citreon Picasso I had before. It comes with both a cargo net and a load guard that extends up to the roof if needed. Would I recommend it or buy another one. Yes, definitely, my only complaint is that the supplied Blaupunkt CD/Radio doesn't play MP3's without getting an external lead. ...

I had previously owned two Daewoos, and I was happy with these budget cars. I needed an automatic owing to problems with my left arm movement. I managed to buy an ex demonstrator , which was a year old (54 reg) and still had two years warranty remaining. I have had a few problems , which were all fixed under the warranty including a new air bag system. When i took it back to the Franchised dealer after 12 months for its annual service, i was not ... ...has cost me the odd tyre, and nothing else.
The car is an A to B car, and will not set you alight, the automatic is actually better than the manual as it has smoother gear changes. Power is sufficient but it is jerky around country lanes. I can sit in the back when the drivers seat is set right back with no problem even though I am 6'5".
The real downside with this car is the C)2 rating which means road tax is £210 per year . the plastic centre ...
