Having owned a Chevvy Tacuma 1.6 for almost two years now, I can only give it my strongest recommendation. As a disabled person, getting cars that can handle a wheelchair in addition to the usual stuff that even a day out involves is a nightmare. Under the Motability scheme, Chevrolet offer the Tacuma at Nil advance payment, and when we acquired ours, we actually made a saving over a Peugueot 206! Spacious, with tons of leg room, superior performance, and no worse mpg than that 206. The only complaint, in fact, is not uncommon in modern cars - don't open the windows if there's any rain or water on the car! The inclusion of optional baffles, particularly for the front windows, would be a major plus.
