I bought this out of my fiancé’s mothers catalogue, as I didn't have the money to buy one, at the time we bought it Rebecca was 4 months old, and we’d spent all our savings on baby essentials! I didn't really have much choice in the matter, when it came down to it, as there were only two!!! Honestly, what a choice lol!
There was a wooden highchair, which turned into a chair & table, for an older child, and this, the Chicco Mama highchair. The wooded highchair was not an option for us, as I hate self assembly things, they just get everyone wound up, so I chose the Chicco Mamma chair, as it comes fully assembled. All you need to do is take it out of the box, and stand it up – simple :-) The only assembly required is to add the tray!
I'd had buggies by Chicco, so I knew they were a good brand, so I felt okay about buying it, everything was great...apart from the price £110! (Although Mothercare sell them for £99, and you might even find it cheaper online, lucky thing!) But it's ok, I reassured myself, it will do for the next baby too! (he he he!!)
Anyway, it arrived while I was out; I had a real shock when I walked into the living room, only to find this monster of a box in the middle of the room! The box was big enough to get me in lol!
"What the hell is that?!" I yelled at Steven
before he could answer, I saw it was the highchair, (The large sticker gave it away lol!) well it must be well padded I though!
Wrong! The highchair is huge! If you have a small house, avoid this, otherwise its great :-)
the food tray is massive, so as well as eating, there is room to play as well, and draw, Rebecca loves to draw pictures for us while sat in her highchair :-) It has 6 height positions, but this is hard to do alone as it is heavy, or maybe I'm just weak! 3 chair positions, upright, leaning back, or lying down, but not flat!
My daughter loves it! It looks so cosy, she can have a nice sleep in there, or maybe catch a cartoon or two, and she does look so happy and cosy :-) There is a 5 point harness attached, which is essential. The highchair can be folded away, when not in use, but even when it's folded, it's still bulky, I think. It is very sturdy, and chunky, no way could a child/baby tip this up, which is very good!
Here are the key features of the Chicco Mama-
· 6 adjustable seat height positions · 3-position back rest · 5 point safety harness · Detachable, 2-position easy clean tray · Padded, wipe-clean seat with removable cover · Adjustable footrest · Tray can be stored on back of highchair · Folds when not in use · Freestanding when folded flat
Age Suitability: From 3 months Sizes/Specifications Conforms to BS 5799 Seat height: 83-106cm Overall size: 106 x 73 x 60cm Folded size: 93 x 28 x 60cm Weight: 10.4kg
Safety First! Never leave your child unattended in the highchair. While in the highchair, your baby should be secured at all times with the harness supplied or an approved harness complying with BS 6684. Take special care getting your child in or out of the highchair. Do not use the highchair on a slippery or raised surface. Store out of children's reach when folded.

I totally agree I have the same chair for both my kids and it takes up so much space.
