I bought one of these, when my third child was 3 months old. My son of 3 was sitting on a toddler chair, my 16 month old was very happy in an IKEA antilophighchair and lack of hands at teatime forced me to look for a suitable chair for my baby. She took great offence to being put in a bouncy chair on the floor, while we were sat at the table. I was really excited when I first purchased it, for me (having paid a whopping £11 for my Ikea highchair...) it was a large purchase at £100. It really did what it said. It has a multi position seat, and can be a high or low chair. It is also absolutely huge. At the time I was living in a very large 4 bedroom bungalow. The kitchen was massive, yet it really irritated me how much room the highchair took up. On the plus side, my baby seemed very comfortable and content. It was sturdy enough to withstand my 2 other children swinging on it and very easy to clean. It looked great and made it very easy to begin weaning. 3 months later I sold it on eBay for a very good price, and bought a Mothercare 'Miami' highchair. This was perfectly adequate, and baby did not seem to notice any difference!! At £30 it is much more reasonable. I prefer my children to sit to the table as soon as possible so I use the Ikea highchairs, as they enable your child to sit like the rest of the family. The Chicco Mamma was lovely, but really rather unneccesary. Babies are only really needing this for 2-3months, and then it just gets in the way. (Even when it is 'folded' it takes up loads of room-unlike the mothercare one which really does fold away) Now I have another tiny baby, I am not even tempted to re-purchase. I am now well aware that this phase passes very quickly, and I am passed impulsive buying of ridiculously overpriced baby-care items.
