When we first needed to get a high chair we were sure that we wanted a traditional wooden one. We got one, it looked beautiful in our dining room. Our daughter however felt differently. It was so hard and uncomfortable and she kept slipping allove the place and I was worried sick that she would slip out of the flimsy lap harness. It lasted 2 meals.
We then found the Chicco Polly. Although this is at the top end of the price scale I think we will get our moneys worth. It is more versatile than a lot of seats as it can be adjusted to a range of heights very easily.
The seat is very padded and so supports a young baby well. The 5 point harness is a great feature for added security and allows you to worry about getting food in the mouth, rather than whether or not they will slip the seat!
I love the fact that the double tray slides on and off so easily with handy storage for the tray at the back. It makes getting my daughter in and out of the seat very easy as I don't have to feed her wriggly legs through holes. It also means that she doesn't have to have the tray on and can just sit at the table which she loves!
It is very sturdy and stable which means it is quite heavy but it does fold down well and can be stored easily.
She looks very happy in it and it's dual phase cushions and height mean that she will be able to use it for a long time yet!
