Noughts and Crosses
Advantages: gripping storyline and you won't want to put it down! Disadvantages: time!
...reversed in this revoloutionary book! Noughts and crosses gives you much of the information you need to know to understand the book, the blacks which are the dominant and powerful race are the crosses, while the whites which are little anad controlled by the crosses are the noughts.
But this story focuses on the life of two young people named Sephy and Callum, Sephu being a cross and Callum being a nought which just adds to the drama and the passion ... ...so I would reccomend having a box of tissues at your side!
This is a trilogy of books but recently a new one has been released:
Noughts and Crosses
Knife Edge
Checkmate
Double Cross (new one!)

An amazing, sad story
Advantages: A very moving book Disadvantages: A very sad book
The Boy in Striped Pyjamas is a very good book but is also a really sad book also.
If I had to say if i would read it again I would definately. In my opinion i would say that it is a very good page turner and would recommend it to older readers because it is quite hard to keep a track of what is happening, some people might not agree.
My favourite character was definately Bruno because he wanted to help his little friend that was in the concentration ... ...his friend food because in the camps they do not get fed very well.
The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas is a really moving story about the friendship of two young boys but people that read this have to beware if you do not like books that are sad or storys that have quite alot of violence i would urge you to stay away from this book. ...

Amelia Jayne series
Advantages: a great read for young girls Disadvantages: none
...old fashioned. We saw the Amelia Jayne books and bought her one I didn't think she would actually finish it, she did over a weekend. She has since read a second one and is on to her third.
The books are about a naughty doll who plays tricks on the other toys and they get their own back. To a young child these books are very interesting and make great conversation if you like to chat about what they have read.
If your little girl likes reading or ...
