Noughts and Crosses is a book everyone should read

Advantages: it will really make you think about the way you look at the world
Disadvantages: it's not long enough!

I first read this about 5 years ago when i first started working in the children's department of a bookshop. it was sold from the teenage section and as i was used to reading adult fiction, was dubious as to how good it could be as it was for children, after all. however, this is one of the best books i have ever read. it was the first book that made me think about how i look at the world and had me gripped form the very beginning. this should not ...

A very big eater!!

The tiger who came to tea is a childrens story book which is written and illustrated by judith kerr, and its my daughters favourite book which i read to her before she goes to sleep each night. My sister bought this for my daughter last year for christmas, im not sure how much it actually cost her but the price on the back of the book is £5.99, The story is about a little girl called sophie who is having tea and cakes with her mummy when there comes ...

Advantages: A skillful mix of styles and influences, memorable characters.
Disadvantages: The narrative reaches great heights, but can't quite keep them up.
