Adventures of the Little Wooden Horse
Review of Adventures of the Little Wooden Horse - Ursula Moray Williams by youresorad

Advantages: Great storyline, great pictures, keeps you interested.
Disadvantages: Written a long time ago.

...story of hers is the Adventures of the Little Wooden Horse, which has been a personal favourite of mine for many years! I'd say that this book is suitable for children aged between 5 and 10, although I enjoyed it just as much when I re-read it a few weeks ago (and I'm 17!). ...and this is where his adventures begin! I won't talk about all of the little wooden horse's adventures because it might spoil it. But his adventures include running into pirates and finding treasure, and running a race for a Princess (whose brothers and sisters all had horses to race but she didn't). In my opinion the best and worse part of his adventures are in the mines – you’ll see why if you have read or are going to read it. After all of his ... Read review

Disadvantages: None

This was a new book for me. I only came across it as the class were asked to bring in their favourite book to celebrate World Book Day on Thursday. ~ The story ~ Daddy and Little Brown Bear sit in the forest with a pile of bedtime books. Fuzz his friend joins them to listen to the stories which are very funny. Downstream, Beaver pricks up his ears and hears two voices shouting "Again! Again!" So he goes to join them. More and more stories are read ...
...pretending to be dinosaurs and shouting "Again! Again!" that one by one they join the group: Porcupine, squirrel, skunk, armadillo, chipmunk, worlf cub, owl, wildcat and bat. If the story is sad they all blow their noses and when it's scary they all shout "He's behind you! Look out!" and when it's over they all want it "AGAIN!" The story ends with all the animals going to sleep after their exciting bedtime stories!! ~ The Illustrations ~ Illustrated ... Read review

...under his news paper there are 7 words on top of the page "where oh where, is my baby bear?" The book continues with daddy bear looking in a tree, in the rabbit's house, in the reeds by the side of the pond, in the mole hole, behind the bushes.
