a very good action book for all ages
Advantages: very good author Disadvantages: none
This was a very good action book which can be enjoyed by all genders and ages throughout the world. the cover is bright and could be spotted from a distance in a shop. the author uses good ajectives, adverbs etc. tthe title explains what might happens in the story but then ties into it later on in the story. i got this book from a second hand shop thinking it would be rubbish but actually it changed the way i read books. i used to read girly books ... ...keeps me occupied and i enjoy reading these book from this author. i enjoyed this book so much i bought the next 2 books in the series. i would highly reccommend this book to all ages especially to young boys as boys are into things like that. in conclusion the story is about an average teen school boy called james Adams who is recruited by an undercover spy agency call CHERUB. unfortunately james' mother dies of obesity. James then gets put up for ...

Jacqueline Wilson's Cliffhanger
Advantages: Its a good story and easy to read Disadvantages: None
Jacqueline Wilson's Cliffhanger is a great novel. However, this makes for a more confusing read than the normal Jacqueline Wilson stories. I found there were so many characters involved in this read and I became confused. When I was just getting used to the fact that there was only Mum, Dad and Tim, Several other characters appeared in the storyline which added greatly to my confusion.
Apart from this critisism, All in all the book was a good read, ... ...what was actually going on.
In connection to the main character Tim, my view is that there are fairly enormous gender issues surrounding this little boy with regards as to how his mum and dad parent him. My understanding of this is that although mum is happy initially to have Tim a mummy's boy, and portrays relative conflict with dad in this issue, It becomes apparent throughout the storyline that eventually mum realises the importance of dads role ...

My newest Chosen read
Advantages: Enjoyable, very readable story Disadvantages: Very Americanised, including some slang I didn't really get
Chosen is the third book in P.C. and Kristin Cast's House of Night saga.. I bought my copy for £4.89 new from Amazon, but the jacket price is £6.99, as with most books now, if you shop around you are pretty much guaranteed to get a deal on it. At present the first five books are available, the sixth (Tempted) is due for paperback release on October 27th 2009, but doesn't seem to be being released in hardback. A seventh book, Burned, has been announced ... ...and background** This is another saga of teenage/young adult vampire fiction, a genre which regularly comes back into vogue. Cast seems to have piggybacked on the huge success of the Harry Potter series, and I suppose possibly on the Stephanie Meyer Twilight saga which were written earlier than House of Night. This isn't a criticism, I am a big believer in the adage of if it ain't broke don't fix it; if there is a current trend and you are confident ...

Clarice Bean Spells Trouble - very good book.
Advantages: awesome book to read :) Disadvantages: not for my age group :P
...book we came across the Clarice Bean Series (Utterly me Clarice Bean, Clarice Bean Spells Trouble and Don't Look Know and Clarice Bean Don't Look now). My sister had already been a fan of Charlie and Lola so we were familiar with the work of Lauren Child and decided to take the first two books. Clarice Bean is an ordinary girl who always seems to get in trouble without trying. In this book she tries to get a role in the school play and impress her ... ...trouble yet again. Clarice is a character you will totally love after reading the book, she is funny, charming and witty and her outlook on life is certainly... different. I also think many children will be able to relate to Clarice in their own difficulties because in life (and the book) life isn't always fair. The illustrations are always fun and unique and give the book that extra charm. This book is easy to read and I would recommend to ages ...
