Gym Babes!
Review of Busy Babies Go To The Gym - Jane Kemp, Clare Walters by
AJ26
Advantages: Bright pictures, nursery rhymes
Disadvantages: None
This book is called "Busy Babies Go To The Gym", I bought it along with several other books from the Book People a while ago. I can't actually remember what I paid for them but I think it worked out at around £1 a book. The normal RRP is £3.99. I like to be organised and have a selection of books to give as presents to friends children. The book is from a range by Practical Parenting.

I did notice however it is slightly sexist as although it is called Practical Parenting it says that it helps solves all the worries and problems that a "mum or mum-to-be" might have, so no mention of the dads or dads-to-be. Their books are designed with 4 aims which are stated on the back ...

Advantages: nice story, lovely pictures, teaches children about sharing
Disadvantages: Nothing I can think of
...It tells the story of Tiny Trumpet who is a little elephant and is given a big red bouncy ball to play with. He tries to play with the ball but finds it very difficult and keeps dropping it. The monkey comes along and bounces it and throws it and he is really good at it but ends up taking the ball and playing with the giraffe who throws it to the bird. Poor Tiny feels left out because he cant catch the ball. Then he discovers that he can spurt water ... ...it flying up into the air. The other animals are impressed and the book finishes with them all playing together.
The Pictures
The pictures are bright and interesting and are on every page. Children can spot the different animals and track the path of the big red bouncy ball as it moves from one page to the next.
