Developmental Juvenile Osteology
Review of Developmental Juvenile Osteology - Louise Scheuer by nicki_221987

Advantages: Has a lot of digrams and labels in which are very helpful!!
Disadvantages: Is quite a lot to take in from cover to cover!!

Developmental Juvenile Osteology Louise Scheuer and Sue Black: It is critical that the Juvenile skeleton is correctly identified, so that the analysis of human remains can be done! If you cannot identify the skeletal components in a Juvenile then it is impossible to establish the number of individuals present or to identify the age at death. This book is specifically designed to deal with this problem. It is mainly aimed at professional people in ...
...the wider scientific areas. The book is logically ordered and is fairly easy to navigate as it has an introduction to the text and a guide to the text at the beginning. I found this fairly easy to find the information I required from it. The book goes over all the areas of a juvenile skeleton such as the growth of the skeleton, embryological development, the vertebral column, the pelvic girdle etc. I found the book very informative on the whole ... Counting by Dinosaurs
Review of Dinosaur Numbers - Ladybird by Nikova

Advantages: Helps children to learn colours, numbers and teaches them how to count, wonderfully entertaining and educational.
Disadvantages: Reading it over and over and over and over and over and..............The only one I can think of and that isn't really a disadvantage!

...as she is a HUGE dinosaur fan most of her gifts had a dino theme, from a massive blow up Tyrannosaurus-Rex to a small pot of mini dinos she uses with her train track, she was well chuffed, her most favourite by far though was a lovely book my dear sweet cousin had bought her. ***The book*** Dinosaur Numbers is a lift the flap book written by Mandy Ross and illustrated by John Haslam and I must say the illustrations are perfect for any pre-school ...
...down a lovely tall pink dinosaur is stood smiling back at you, on the reverse of the tree is the number 1 and the number also written, underneath the tree is a thick pink strip with a single sun in it, next to the sun the words "count 1". This happens on every page until we get to 10. You can see the simplicity of the book yourself, but it is so effective and Amber really loves it, so much so she has now developed a way of reading it to herself, ... Read review

Review of Silverfin: A James Bond Adventure (Young Bond) - Charlie Higson by rowbot23

Advantages: Everything is brilliant!
Disadvantages: You can't put the book down

This book is written by Charlie Higson who also writes screenplays and adult thriller novels, as well as a performer and co-creator of the fast show. Using the idea of Ian Flemings Books about a spy called "Bond. James Bond" he has created a fantastic book about James bond when he was younger and not a spy. Before the name became a legend. Before the boy became the man. Meet Bond. James Bond. The book has 372 pages full of excitement and thrills ...
...in the Scottish Highlands, James Bond is back at Eton, where he has joined the risk-taking Danger Society. eldest review
Review of Eldest - Christopher Paolini by 4rfvgyhnjik

Advantages: brilliant book
Disadvantages: long

Eldest opens with Eragon looking upon the battlefield of Tronjheim. It has been three days since the battle has been won, three days since Eragon killed the Shade Durza. But the mood is bleak, there is no rejoicing over the victory. The stronghold of the dwarves and the Varden - Farthen Dur is littered with bodies. So many have been killed and the battlefield is so wet with blood that it soaks through the soles of Eragon's boots. The battle is over ...
...While Eragon was essentially simplistic, Eldest is layered with other themes and multiple narratives. The writer also shows his skill in holding all of them together and blending them in the end for the climax. Nasuada, with Eragon's support, takes her father's place leading the Varden. She decides to send Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, to Ellesméra where the elves will train them further in the arts of magic and war so that he can eventually be ... Read review
