Half Blood Prince - Top Buy of the Year for me!
Review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Harry Potter 6)[Children's Edition] - J.K. Rowling by
demonbarak
Advantages: Gripping Plot, Great character development
Disadvantages: Takes a little while to get moving
...a proper old broth, including Harry and Ginny finally getting together (About time! I hear you cry...) Ron and Hermione... not. Harry finds he has been given a potions book with notes scribbled in the margin that differ from the publishers, and decides to try them, annoying Hermione by getting better scores... and there are spells too... what to do?
We find out WHY Voldemort survived, the reason for Tom being in the Diary, who the Half Blood Prince ... ...after being weakened while with Harry - more, I cannot say, though I've never been as close to crying as I have with this book.
Character Development.

Review of Hit The Ball Duck - Jez Alborough by
belfin
Advantages: clever rhymes along with fantastic pictures

The little rhyme on the inside of the book goes like this,
"Duck and friends go out one day
with a bat, a ball and a glove to play.
Duck hits the ball but where does it fall?
On a branch in the tree - now they can't play at all.
Frog has an idea, Duck lends a hand
but nothing turns out quite as planned.
The story starts as we see Duck and friends driving their way to the park and when they arrive Duck can't wait to start playing ...

Holes
Review of Holes - Louis Sachar by
xXxgr8galxXx
Advantages: It's a brilliant book for all ages
Disadvantages: The cover could be better
I really liked this book! It kept you interested in it straight away and all the way through. The story line was very easy to follow and a very, very cleaver story line. My teacher read it to my class a few years ago and I enjoyed it so much I want out to the shops, bought it, and read it myself! I liked the book so much I went into town and bought the DVD starring Shia LaBeouf as Stanley Yelnats. I also really like that film, and also helped me ...

...he goes there is chaos. Horrid Henry is a little sod the type of child in desperate need of a bit of discipline and his parents who could do with a visit from ‘supernanny’.
