Holes
Review of Holes - Louis Sachar by xXxgr8galxXx

Advantages: It's a brilliant book for all ages
Disadvantages: The cover could be better

I really liked this book! It kept you interested in it straight away and all the way through. The story line was very easy to follow and a very, very cleaver story line. My teacher read it to my class a few years ago and I enjoyed it so much I want out to the shops, bought it, and read it myself! I liked the book so much I went into town and bought the DVD starring Shia LaBeouf as Stanley Yelnats. I also really like that film, and also helped me ... Read review

BREATH TAKING
Review of Stone Cold - Robert Swindells by kayzschick

Advantages: Truthful (it gives you a very strong incite to lives on the street)
Disadvantages: i ant think of any lol

Stone cold, another excellent book by Robert Swindells. It is a moving but truthful novel. It was a really exciting, gripping book to read. It gave me an in site of what homeless people really go though. The novel used techniques that really help to put more suspense and feeling into the novel. One of the most used techniques in the novel is short sentences. Swindells makes the story have great suspense in short sentences. "Oh no lad. Not going ...
...also used to persuade people about something. I thought that stone cold was a very gripping and emotional novel it really helped me to see how hard it truly is for homeless people. The only problem I had with the book is that I think the ending was rushed. ... Read review

Knowing and going
Review of Oh, the Places You'll Go! - Dr. Seuss by frkurt

Advantages: Typical Seussian rhyme and a good story
Disadvantages: none

...just be me And OH, OH, the places we'll go We'll go hither and we'll go fro Over the rainbow and under a smile Making the light year seem less than a mile My own trek is one through theology Determined it feels by biology And compels me upon my wonderful way And never doubting it for a day That this is where I'm called to be This is what I'm charged to see By some much grander holy light Which may someday give me greater sight And until ...
...journey bold So that everyplace will feel like home For everyplace is someone's home Be it brown or be it blue In a castle or a shoe In the up and out the down Journeying through every town And still there will be more places to go Still more ways in which we can grow But may we never outgrow the Seuss For then, dear friends, life's not much use This is a lesser-known Dr. Seuss book, but still a great story and great learning device. "Only children know what they are looking for"
Review of The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupery by tazzywazzy

Advantages: Remembering the truth
Disadvantages: Adults have forgotten the truth

...stoopid Tazzy ramblings and onto the good stuff...the review, I have decided to re-write my first ever review, I really did not do the book any justice the first time round, so here goes! ~Gather round children, you might learn something new~ This is undoubtedly the most famous piece of work by the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and although a children's novel has a lot of underlying, very adult, messages about perception, love, relationships ...
...the younger readers. This little book has been translated into about 160 different languages, sold over 50 million copies, think it was made into an opera a couple of years ago, and has even had it's own anime series (spanning 39 episodes). Saint Exupery's love in life was being a pilot, but he was forced by his fiancée's family to take a desk job in Paris, which he did, but eventually their engagement was called off, and he returned to flying. ...
