Man vs Beast
Review of Man Vs Beast (CHERUB) - Robert Muchamore by midpikyrozziy

Advantages: Punchy, Exciting, Glamorous
Disadvantages: Maybe a bit too unrealistic in parts

Man vs Beast is the sixth book in an excellent series by Robert Muchamore. The series centers around James and Lauren Adams who were plucked from a foster home when their mother died, and began their training at the CHERUB facility, a base for training kids to be super spies, as adults don't suspect kids would spy on them. Similarly to the Alex Rider books, the children in it seem to be too perfect and amazing at everything, but all books need ...
...like many real teenagers would. Man vs Beast focuses on a CHERUB mission where Lauren, James and Kyle infiltrate and combat an Animal extremist group. This immediately raises a morality questions, on whether this groups actions are right, or whether there is a more peaceful method for achieving the same aim. With constant action and excitement on every page, this is a great book for anyone aged 10-18 to read, and this promises to be a very exciting ... Read review

Christmas delivery!
Review of Mr. Men Christmas - Roger Hargreaves by Littlebootwo

Advantages: A lovely book with wonderful illustration
Disadvantages: None

We bought a copy of this book Mr Chistmas just before xmas. My oldest son picked it out as the cover had lovely glittery snow on the front cover with the character of Mr Christmas. He is quite a lovable character. Mr Christmas is a green triangle and he is wears a cute little xmas hat with red gloves and red shoes. He always has a smile on his face and is a very helpful soul. And ever since we set eyes on this loveable fella we have had to read this ...
...purchased Mr Christmas from Asda for £1.84, but the back of the book says it retails at £2.50. If for anyone who doesnt know about the Mr Men, the book is written by Roger Hargreaves and has been illustrated by his son Adam Hargreaves. The book was first published in 2002 but the edition we own was reprinted in 2005. There are over 40 Mr Men books and this is one of Mr Hargreaves special editons, brought out for Christmas Its a wonderful christmas ... Read review

More flanimals
Review of More Flanimals - Ricky Gervais by Punkychik

Advantages: appeals to adults and children
Disadvantages: nothign

...Gervais goes on to list more flanimals in other families such as the Sprot Oggler and the Sprot Mungler. As with 'Flanimals' he gives a small account of the purpose of their completely pointless lives. Paragraphs are riddled with Gervais' humour, and at points some bizarre arguments with the reader, or himself (I'm not quite sure). All pages in this chapter are illustrated with Flanimals, with exception of the last page. The last page is slightly ...
...The last page goes into more biological areas such as DNA. However, it is still bursting with Gervais' personality and such entertain most people!! Flanimal Evolution: This is a very short chapter which shows diagrams of the flanimals which evolved from other flanimals. There is little text on these pages and the brightly coloured pictures may appeal to younger children. This chapter also shows some 'fossil evidence' and a large flanimal family ... Read review

Mr. Happy by Rodger Hardgraves
Review of Mr Happy - Roger Hargreaves by TerryMan123

Advantages: This wonderful book is suitable for children aged 3-8. It is beautifully illustrated and will be enjoyed by any child who reads it!
Disadvantages: It's so good you may have trouble getting your child to put it down.

...Mr. Happy manages to persuades Mr Miserable to go to his house in Happyland. While Mr. Miserable is in Mr. Happy's home in Happyland he stops being miserable and starts to be happy! Overall I thought this book was excellent. There are excellent illustrations on every single page. I would recomend this book to anyone with small children who enjoy reading. I really enjoyed this fun-fillled book and think that you will too. I would also recomend the ... Read review
