I am reviewing Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo. I read this novel in my English class at school and I am going to explain what happens in the novel, who the characters are, what I think are the best and worst bits and why, and what I would do personally to the novel to make it a better book.
The main character in this novel by Michael Morpurgo is Thomas Peaceful because the book is written in the first person as if he is telling the novel. ... ...talk to the author of Private Peaceful - Michael Morpurgo, I would ask him why he felt the need to end the book the way he did. A true friendship

Advantages: Memorable characters, appealling to all ages
Disadvantages: Uneventful at times
"Oh no!", another book based on war that I have to teach to an array of interesting and lively pupils. "And it looks quite long!"
These were my first thoughts when i came across this book but I couldn't have been more wrong. The teenagers were engrossed throughout - as was I when i first read this book.
