Thrilling plot
Review of Maximum Security: Bk. 3 (CHERUB) - Robert Muchamore by sxcmonro

Advantages: great characters and plot
Disadvantages: slightly short book could use more pages

Exellent plot and the characters were exellently created with a very good use of imagery. Really gritty and exciting plot which keeps you on the edge of your seat. I personally sat at home for a whole weekend with this book and did not get bored, I was totaly engrosed. I really reccomend this book but you must read the first and the second in the series to really understand the plot. Te audience would most probably be teenagers beacause of the encapturing ... Review of Just So Stories - Rudyard Kipling by jillmurphy

Advantages: Funny, rhythmic, part of oral tradition.
Disadvantages: VERY old fashioned, Penguin version rather dull.

...a copy of Rudyard Kipling's Just So Stories. They'll tell you all the things you need to know. Among the simplest of myth stories are the why stories or pourquoi tales. These are stories about how things came to be. Why does night follow day? Why does spring follow winter? And how did that leopard get his spots? Most cultures across the world include why stories in their oral traditions. Different to the why stories, but still part of oral story-telling ...
...upon when he wrote the Just So Stories. So humour me just for a moment longer. Living in India for many years and thus familiar with the forms and patterns of these traditional forms of story-telling, Kipling wrote this, his own collection of explanatory tales, in a gloriously florid and very, very funny imitation of the old way. "How The Whale Got His Throat" and "How The Leopard Got His Spots", those stories I told you about above start out seriously, ... Read review

BREATH TAKING
Review of Stone Cold - Robert Swindells by kayzschick

Advantages: Truthful (it gives you a very strong incite to lives on the street)
Disadvantages: i ant think of any lol

Stone cold, another excellent book by Robert Swindells. It is a moving but truthful novel. It was a really exciting, gripping book to read. It gave me an in site of what homeless people really go though. The novel used techniques that really help to put more suspense and feeling into the novel. One of the most used techniques in the novel is short sentences. Swindells makes the story have great suspense in short sentences. "Oh no lad. Not going ...
...also used to persuade people about something. I thought that stone cold was a very gripping and emotional novel it really helped me to see how hard it truly is for homeless people. The only problem I had with the book is that I think the ending was rushed. ... Read review

Was you ever a boy???
Review of Boy: Tales of Childhood - Roald Dahl by Jamz.13

Advantages: Great Read, Easy for young children
Disadvantages: time goes to quick when you read it

I have read this book so many times and I loved it from the first time I read it to the last time I read it. You can never get bored with this book. I am a huge fan of Roald Dahl and I think his books are great. This has to be my favorite book of his as it has funny bits in it and serious bits in it. I think all children's books should have some serious bits in it. This book is an autobiography from Roald Dahl himself telling events in his life. ...
...parts of his life. I will tell about them now. ~~~Starting Point~~~ In this part of the book there is 2 chapters `Papa and Mama' and `Kindergarten' as you can probably tell the chapter `Papa and Mama' is all about his mum and dad, and the chapter `Kindergarten' is all about his time in nursery(Kindergarten). This chapter is ok but it isn't exciting. ~~~Llandaff Cathedral School-1923-5(Aged 7-9)~~~ This part of the book is really exciting. There ... Read review

Mr Fox will thrill and amaze you!
Review of Fantastic Mr Fox - Roald Dahl by britum2000

Advantages: Do you want to hear you 5-7 year olds ask for more?
Disadvantages: Do you want to re-visit childhood?

...told. The story of Fantastic Mr Fox is the stuff of magic and enormous excitement for a typical 5 to 7 year old. Whether you are a parent with a book at bedtime or have the privilege of reading to a larger group, this book is a winner every time. As we shall see, it is a simple story of a hero and three villains that will have children punching the air and shouting 'Yes!' at the tops of their voices. Trust me; I have had the pleasure to witness ...
...the noble, the clever, the Fantastic Mr. Fox. Our young loyalties are defined from the start; after all, how could you cheer for a man named Bunce who eats his doughnuts stuffed with mashed goose livers? As one might expect, the farmers in this story come out smelling like ... well, what farmers occasionally do smell like. This early Roald Dahl adventure is great for reading aloud to five to seven year olds, who will be delighted to hear that Mr. ... Read review
