Magnetic Magic!
Advantages: Good chunky magnets, entertaining, loads of fun Disadvantages: None!
...presents for a while!
My Fireman Sam Magnet Book is a relatively new book in the Fireman Sam franchise made for toddlers and older children. This book is a lovely hardback, with its top half in bright red, just like the Fire Engine Jupiter, with a big picture of Fireman Sam and Jupiter on the bottom half of the book. It's lovely and bright, really eye-catching and very inviting for children. My first impressions of the book were really good and ... ...and child-friendly as well!
My only complaint about the book would be the size of the drawer. When you first get the book, all the pieces are sat in nicely, but obviously they all need to come out. The problem came when I tried to get them back in again and they wouldn't lay flat properly so I had to almost force the drawer shut. It's quite tough to get them all in properly, especially when Harry is trying to help, so you definitely need adult help ...

Cats chase mice - or do they?
Advantages: Full of humour Disadvantages: Story not wildly exciting
Splat the Cat wakes up early on his first day at Cat School. He is worried about starting school and makes all sorts of excuses for not going: he's having a bad hair day, or the gate won't let go of his fingers. Mum, however, has an answer for everything, so he makes sure he has his pet mouse, Seymour, in his lunch box for company, and off they go. Arriving at school, Splat is welcomed by his teacher, the buxom Mrs Wimpydimple, another feline of ... ...to be grey whilst Splat is black) give Splat a friendly welcome. Mrs Wimpydimple begins her lesson about cats – what else? - on the blackboard. When she mentions that cats chase mice, however, Splat wants to know why but doesn't let on that he has a pet one in his lunch box. Splat asks why so many times that Mrs Wimpydimple sighs and announces that it is time for lunch. When Splat opens his lunch box and his classmates notice Seymour, they immediately ...

"Only children know what they are looking for"
Advantages: Remembering the truth Disadvantages: Adults have forgotten the truth
...stoopid Tazzy ramblings and onto the good stuff...the review, I have decided to re-write my first ever review, I really did not do the book any justice the first time round, so here goes!
~Gather round children, you might learn something new~
This is undoubtedly the most famous piece of work by the French author Antoine de Saint-Exupery, and although a children's novel has a lot of underlying, very adult, messages about perception, love, relationships ... ...the younger readers. This little book has been translated into about 160 different languages, sold over 50 million copies, think it was made into an opera a couple of years ago, and has even had it's own anime series (spanning 39 episodes).
Saint Exupery's love in life was being a pilot, but he was forced by his fiancée's family to take a desk job in Paris, which he did, but eventually their engagement was called off, and he returned to flying. ...
