Great for sore throats on children & dogs!
Review of Benylin Children's Chesty Coughs by
ScottishWestie
Advantages: Easy to find, tastes good, does the job
Disadvantages: Giving it to the dog
...a tip than a review.
Benylin children's cough medicine is made by Johnson & Johnson and the range of Benylin cough medicines sold around the world includes ingredients such as dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine, acetaminophen & guaifenisin. But you probably already knew that anyway!
This children's cough medicine is very popular & apparently very good for children but did you know it's also very good for dogs.
Yes, yes, I know what you're thinking, ... ...my way home get some Benylin cough medicine suitable for children as it will ease his raw throat, she said "dogs just love the stuff, its tastes good".
Not convinced I asked her how I could possibly administer the stuff to a dog. "Just as you would a child, with a tea spoon" she said.
So after paying Ł36.00 to the vet for diagnosing the cough myself (?!) & for a handful of tablets I made a hasty visit to Sainsbury's who have the only chemist in ...

Review of Calpol Calrub by
carla33
Advantages: It's brilliant
Disadvantages: Can be a bit messy
CALPOL CALRUB
Everytime either of my childre have a cold this is the product I use, and they both love it, and it doesn't do me any harm either. I found alot of the vapour rubs on the market today were to harsh for kids, but Calpol Calrub was perfect. No stinging red eyes or burning skin sensations just easy breathing and sleep filled nights.
I would definately recommend this product to any parent, with any aged child, I have a three year old and ...

Who's Auntie Septic?
Review of Boots First Aid Antiseptic Spray by
pink_champagne
Advantages: Doesn't sting, cheap, easy to use
Disadvantages: none
...came across a bottle of Boots Antiseptic Spray. This is a product I had bought ages ago and forgotten about, but I put it with the rest of my first aid stuff for the next time I required it. Less than 24 hours later, and I had somehow managed to cut the back of my hand, so out came the spray…
~About the product~
This is an Antiseptic spray which is really just an alternative to antiseptic creams. The benefits of using a spray over a cream, are ... ...hygienic, and also it's easier to apply on hard to reach areas.
The spray contains Cetrimide, a well known antiseptic which is also used in brand name products such as Savlon. ~Packaging~
This comes in a white bottle with a green lid. There is lots of information on the back of the bottle about the ingredients and different things you can use the product for.
The spray nozzle is easily depressed with only minimum pressure, and swivels round for ...

just as good as the well known make
Review of Boots Pain Relief Paracetamol Suspension by
MICH51
Advantages: fantastic price
Disadvantages: a syringe would be handy
As a childrens nurse and mother of two young children I believe that a paractamol based syrup for children is a must for any medicine cabniet for all those unexpected temperatures that children suddenly develop at two in the morning. This product contains exactly the same amount of the active ingredient as the well known brand and therefore works just as well, it has a pleasant fruity smell and a pleasant taste (yes i have tried it) which appealed ... ...to like it a little too much and always wanted more! The only downside to this prodct is that it comes with a spoon rather than a syringe or dropper which i find much easier to use when administering it to a grumpy toddler with a temperature. In general a fantastic produt at a much better cost than the well known brand. ...
