Not my preferred choice
Review of Bonjela Teething Gel by
Ann-Marie_B
Advantages: Trusted brand
Disadvantages: Makes area sting
...teething we promptly bought both Bonjela and Calgel teething gels to ease his gums. Although very receptive to the taste of the Calgel teething gel, he soon began clamping his mouth shut when presented with the Bonjela.
I recently had a wisdom tooth breaking through my gum and took the opportunity to try out both teething gels. I found that the Bonjela made the area sting for a while before numbing it. The Calgel did not. I can only presume that ... ...near his teething gums.
Bonjela teething gel is packaged inside a blue box depicting the brand name in white lettering and a picture of a small baby on the front. The tube itself contains 15g.
This product is suitable for babies from two months of age and is sugar free. Tesco stock this item at £2.27 per tube.

Pain relief for the little ones!
Review of Medised Infant Cold Relief (Age 3 months+) by
danmclovin
Advantages: Eases pain and fever, helps with restful sleep!
Disadvantages: None!
...We have been using Medised for our little boy for a few months now, only in extreme circumstances mind you, and I have to say that it really has helped him to cloud out some of the pain he has been experiencing. I only tend to give him a dose during bed time, to help him get the good night sleep that he needs. I like to give him half the recommended dosage to begin with, and only give him the other half if I feel he needs it. An advantage that Medised ... ...to in their mouth.
Medised is designed as a pain and fever relief for infants and children, it also helps to give the baby a restful sleep and to ease breathing. Medised should only be given to babies from 3 months on, and should only be give to babies younger if recommended so by a doctor. The syrup is strawberry flavoured, which helps the baby or infant to take to it. Medised contains Paracetamol, for pain relief from teething, sore throat, headaches ...

Great for a better night's sleep with a newby
Review of Infacol by
jenkate
Advantages: really effective
Disadvantages: taste (for me) and smell
...fed. My Health Visitor recommended Infacol and i never looked back. Although it is quite expensive, it was available on prescription, which is how i got it. (Ask your Midwife or Health Visitor, as i know people who have paid a fortune for Infacol because they weren't aware that it is available on prescription). I gave a dropper full to my daughter before every feed and the results were dramatic. Before Infacol my daughter used to get such bad wind ... ...or twice a night. Within a few days of using Infacol the sickness stopped. The built in dropper is great, it makes a clean and easy job of giving the medicine. The only problem i did have with it was the smell and my daughter wasn't keen on the taste. ...
